The excuse machine is on full throttle.
Not excuses, it’s facts.

Tell me why Daredevil: Born Again isn’t on Nielsen’s charts yet, even in its premiere debut week.

Maybe it’s because people feel, after Brave New World, they’d rather wait until the whole season comes out to see if it’s worth watching, kind of like how they got a chance of when Echo dropped all at once and that series was arguably a success because of a low $40M budget for the whole series and because it made the overall Top 10 on Nielsen’s charts when it hit Disney+ and Hulu in its premiere week.

They released Echo all at once on 2 streaming services because no one wanted to see it. It was the only way to get any ratings off of it. Can you picture people on Youtube ripping it to shreds every week. That's prolonged torture for Marvel. Might as well rip the bandaid off.
Still was successful enough to get Daredevil: Born Again to be TV-MA.
Someone needs to slap you guys back into reality.
The feeling’s mutual and should be done to you to make you get back to reality.

Yeah, maybe because it was a good show and the reason its viewership was so low was due to it being overshadowed and released during the latter half of Obi-Wan Kenobi.
So a Star Wars series that has pathetically low viewership somehow took the audience away from another pathetically low viewership series?

On a streaming platform that boasts tens of millions of subs, why are so few watching its original series as compared to Netflix and Amazon?

Maybe because Disney doesn’t market its original Disney+ series actively and strongly enough.

Also, Obi-Wan had the second highest viewership of any Star Wars Disney+ series. C’mon. Be serious here, dude.
You do realize Daredevil was on Netflix right??? It didn't need a crappy show to help bring it back. The fans actually wanted to see it come back. It's just unfortunate that bad shows like Echo have damaged the brand.
Oh yes it did, because they were going to make Daredevil: Born Again in the tone of the 5th episode of the show that had Ms Marvel’s dad until the strikes and the review of the footage made them change course, especially knowing Echo felt a bit closer to Daredevil than Born Again initially was, thanks to people from Netflix’s Daredevil and Punisher series making Echo.

So, that plus Deadpool & Wolverines success made them change their mind.
If anything, I think Obi Wan Kenobi was put on to actually help Miss Marvel. They figured it would shield it from criticism. But they didn't realize that wasn't going to happen, because people just didn't care. Nobody wants to see Z-list characters. We'd rather see (if done right) The X-Men, Fantastic Four, Blade and Ghost Rider. Not Ms Marvel, America Chavez, Ironheart and Agatha.

You’ll get what you’d rather see (if done right) when they decide, not you.

Because not everything’s about you. It never was.

Disney+ ratings are horrible compared to other streaming platforms. It hardly ever makes it in the top 10. Bluey seems to be the only thing getting ratings for them and they had to buy that one off another company.
The Mandalorian also seems to be their top-viewed original on the platform so they have that to.

Or at least they used to, until they chose to end the series at Season 3 and move ahead with bringing The Mandalorian & Grogu to movie theaters come May 2026.

LOL, who cares? Garbage movies make money occasionally. Look at Minecraft. Both had an already established fan base that they took advantage of. America Chavez and Ms Marvel do not.
And yet America Chavez has the advantage of being in a successful Marvel movie while Ms Marvel has the advantage of being liked by universally everyone, accept for the usual suspects of haters, but that’s more on people arguing over the quality of the stories she’s in more than the characters itself.

Doctor Strange 2 lost money, because it cost 415 million to make and at least 100 million in marketing.

and

Ms Marvel is in the worst rated Marvel tv show and the biggest Marvel movie flop ever.
Doctor Strange 2 didn’t lose money, at best it broke even.

And yet Ms Marvel still has its fans demanding a second season and looking forward to her role in Champions.
The Acolyte was the 2nd most watched D+ show of 2024 and that got canceled. So it ranking high on D+ doesn't mean squat.
It was cancelled because it cost too much and failed due to poor viewership, poor fan reception, mediocre reviews, and a way too expensive budget.

Look, I know you wanna hate on shows with diverse leads but it’s probably best just to remove your facade and admit you’re racist and sexist towards people who aren’t white or male.

And yet it’s profitable and has ~125M subscribers worldwide that continue to subscribe every month. So there must be something there that keeps them subscribed, and they ain’t all watching Bluey.

So maybe realize that ratings aren’t the end all be all of determining a service’s worth.

Just like with Snow White, I can't wait to see the box office for this one. It's going to be bad... real bad.
No it’s not.

Stop being pedantic and pretentious.

Elio will have good box office because it will be a good movie with good box office legs because of of good audience and critics reviews and reception.

There are 2 directors for this movie. One is a first time director and the other directed "One of the worst movies I've ever seen" Turning Red. So expect unnatural fast movements from the characters.
Three directors, actually.

The third is the one who directed Coco.

So, no you’re wrong about everything you said, including Turning Red, which was actually a great movie, and even her short before that Bao, which won an Oscar for Best Animated Short, was great too.

So, again stop being pedantic and listen right now.

Elio will be a great movie.

And that’s final.

Now shut up.
