I think it's interesting to compare the opening minute of this trailer to the opening minute of the old teaser from a couple years ago. Particularly the events leading up the abduction and the abduction itself.
Sometimes trailers mislead, but you can see the story hook change quite a bit. Which isn't a bad thing, Pixar and Disney talked about this last summer. How iteratively things don't click. I'll be curious to see if I can see this teaser at all in the final product.
I also hope they keep the crude humor contained to the intergalactic bathroom scene.Hopefully, they dropped the gag from the first trailer in which an alien says they ate their mother.
Not in a children's film, please.
The movie was supposed to come out last year before Inside Out but was delayed for rewrites because of Light year's failure. Also, I am nervous that there are three directors on this project. AGAIN, I DON'T KNOW WHY!
Should I re-watch Iron Giant?
It won’t do bad if it’s a good movie, dude. This is going to do really bad.
I don't know why they keep making bad alien and futuristic movies. I guess they're desperate for Tomorrowland IP's.
I'm no fan of Cal-Arts bean mouth. But beyond that the visuals and story look good to me. Hoping it does well. I'm going to go see it.This is going to do really bad.

???"badly"
He’s saying the adverb should be “badly” rather than “bad”.
Ah thanks. He’s saying the adverb should be “badly” rather than “bad”.
Just like how people showed up for World War Z instead of Monsters University in 2013 or how families chose to rather see The Flash instead of Elemental back in 2023.Another reason it's going to bomb... is the competition. How to Train Your Dragon and 28 Years Later are coming out in June as well. I think families would much rather see the Dragon movie than Elio.
If it’s too much shot for shot like The Lion King was and drops as much as that film did in its second weekend because audiences are annoyed by that (60%), Pixar’s Elio, with better word of mouth and the luck of having IMAX screens taken away from HTTYD, after that film’s weekend, to itself for one week before F1 comes out, will open to #1 and beat that movie.LOL, you can't compare Monsters University to Elio. One is a classic and the other is a bomb like Strange World.
Besides you are forgetting conveniently that I brought up How to Train Your Dragon. That will probably still beat Elio in it's 2nd week.
You don’t see me doing that with Cap 4 and 2025 Snow White. You and the other Disney Apologists are always saying you love their movies. You come out and overly support something and act like people are wrong, if they think otherwise. Then the movie tanks and you guys never say we're right. You just move onto the next one and say we're wrong again.

Yes, I think it's better not to engage obvious trolls.Says the person who was posting meme’s of Sonic stomping on Mufasa…. But when Mufasa overtook Sonic…. Crickets
I don’t why you’re so confident in how to train your dragon. It’s not like it’s some big franchise that sends a wave around the world whenever there’s a new installment. And I don’t even know what 28 days later is but it doesn’t sound like it’s targeting remotely the same Audience.Another reason it's going to bomb... is the competition. And what do you do when a Disney movie is successful or rated positively? You start talking about bots or something. You and the other Disney Apologists are always saying you love their movies. You come out and overly support something and act like people are wrong, if they think otherwise. Then the movie tanks and you guys never say we're right. You just move onto the next one and say we're wrong again.
