They pass through the parade gate and turn left behind the Fire Station and City Hall to go back to the storage buildings/staging area behind Pirates/Tiana's.
Cool, that's what I thought. I'm also curious about how much of the nodule that sticks out of the back of the Emporium and Disney Clothiers is actually floor space rather than stock or storage. My thought was that you could basically have a straight shot that doesn't even impact backstage very much by doing the following, though it cuts through those weird areas:

There's a Utilidors entrance in your box, so they'd have to, similar to the east bypass, nudge a west bypass out away from the buildings.

If the second or all Starlights starts at TBA, the West Bypass could be open until Blue Fairy hits City Hall....

That Bypass would only need to close for Starlight to de compress and get to Frontierland to go home or start at TBA again....

How long does FOF stay in Town Square before it goes to Frontierland?

That isn't an option. There's a lot going on backstage (that guests shouldn't be seeing) once the parade starts

Parade, Fireworks, Parade has been the Schedule at DL & MK since the 70s. Party Season also follows the same Model. No reason why HEA can't be moved till after the first Starlight!

The question is how quick Crowds line up for the second Starlight? MSEP was at 11:30(instead of 11PM) at both Parks in the 70s.

I expect people will be lining up early

Starting at TBA would be an operational nightmare. If they try it they will quickly learn the same thing they learned decades ago. Night parades need to start in Town Square.

I’m not familiar with the exact configuration of backstage structures and float routes, so legitimately curious here … Do the parade floats cut straight back or turn left? Couldn’t you potentially make Harmony Barber Shop the entrance and move the barber shop itself inside of the arcade on the west side?
Regardless of where the bypass comes out on the southern end of West Main St, it would still have to cross the parade route.

Oh, the on-stage route, yes. Sorry, I didn’t really fully grasp what you were getting at. I thought you meant disrupting its backstage route was inevitable. While it’s true that there would be a (relatively) short time that any western egress would be blocked, the point is more that, while Main Street piles up with guests looking for parade and fireworks viewing spots, the enclosed arcades, which would have no view of either event, should remain clear and provide rear access to shopping. You won’t have people sitting in the walkway or stopping short in the middle of your path 30 minutes before the fireworks to stake a claim.

You're overthinking this, they could just make a wider doorway on the side of the trolley building and send guests through the trolley building before crossing the street.
Uh, I mean, doesn’t the trolley go in there? Is there a ton of forever dead space on the side? The goal would be for these to be permanent crowd mitigation, not the temporary things they already are when crowds are heavy.

The trolley sits there but with the horses gone for the night there would be enough space to to funnel guests thru the front 1/3 side of the building at night. Some reconfiguration to the trolley building setup would be much cheaper & guest favorable than removing the barbershop.

Regardless if they build this west bypass now or not, I think they'll definitely need it at least by the time Villains Land 🔥 🐉opens, as that will be the first true "capacity expansion" in quite some time. Obviously Tron added a bit and Cars will too but Villains will likely noticeably increase crowds as Disney will likely put all of their efforts and resources into that land.

With that being said, I still think it would be a better option to just bump out the emporium building"s" further west, that way either the shop could be expanded west and the insides could be shifted west too with more walking room along Main street but still enclosed or... keep the shop areas the same but have an indoor walkway to the left of the shopping areas as well as the right, which IMO would be muchhhhh better show than an outdoor barely used path and would even keep people inside longer and push up sales (my pitch to convince Disney of the plan! ;)😄)

I was more wondering, how long will it take for HEA's crowds to clear Main Street? Can they clear out and line up for Starlight in 40 Mins or would MK need that extra half hour which would push Starlight to 11:30?

In the Parks
No
I am sure it draws more people to the hub/in front of the castle just due to the projections and stuff whereas Wishes could have (largely) the same experience even if not right there

So at a minimum it his a higher concentration of people
Plus I'm sure with the Main Street projections it draws more people over there.

Judging by the deeply basic classic Princess ballroom float that reminds me of the mirror castle, I doubt we're getting anything too "pop" in the music. Unlike Paint The Night, there aren't a lot of characters that would benefit from a thumping beat - and the art style is clearly going towards something with a lot more wind chimes and string orchestras.

They really need to add projections to the back of the castle. I would say a water mist screen in RoA but that’s on its way out, so maybe the Frontierland and Liberty Square buildings?

Obviously a ways out but I hope they do an alternate version of the fireworks show from Villains Land similar to what they do in Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland to help spread the crowds a bit

They may not. It's possible people will stay where they are after HEA (that's what I do for MNSSHP- I camp out for BTY and just watch the fireworks there)
