Hahah no I think there’s plenty of magic just left or I wouldn’t renew my pass every year. It’s the newer stuff that’s lacking.
I think they know when something doesn't "hit" with folks, so they come back eventually and "fix" it. Its, like I mentioned, just not on our timeline, so we get "stuck" with something for awhile as they have other priorities to attend to first. Its the problem when you have 12 Parks across 6 Resorts that have to be attended to.

Yeah not sure I want to give them a pass on taking years to fix major show elements but I’m happy it’s finally being addressed.

So does this mean they re going to fix Tiana?

Posted this over on the WDW side, but it's also relevant here..

What a dream come true for one of my favorite rides experiences!!

Just to recap for DL:
  • A-mode (all 3 cannons moving) last seen around mid-2021
  • A-mode Lite (just first cannon moving) from mid-2021 to early 2022
  • B-mode (permanently) since March 2022 when park ops pulled the plug on the first cannon left.
  • A-mode finally restored January 31, 2025.
It took Disneyland about 3.5 years to fully restore their cannons. We knew since like early 2023 from insiders that WDI found the issue (timing/lag issue between cannons and RVs) and was working on a fix.

I wouldn't say its giving them a "pass", more just putting it into context with a little bit of perspective for understanding. :)

It depends on what you mean "fix" Tiana? If you mean address things like the inconsistent AAs to ensure they work more consistently, I believe there are reports of them working on it right now and will be addressed soon. If you mean to change it up completely to add elements that you think are "missing", like adding Facilier and other darker elements, I don't know if that'll happen anytime soon if ever. But stranger things have happened, so never say never I guess.

I know what I’ll be riding Sunday. I can think of few effects on show scenes that have a bigger impact on the overall scene then the canons working on ROTR. Off the top of my head just the boulder on Indy.

Yeah I get it. Just wanted to avoid any possible misperception of my post.

I meant the latter. Not holding my breath that it’ll be addressed anytime soon but I think it will happen eventually. Perhaps not in exactly the way I’d like but the ride has major issues that need to be addressed aside from the malfunctioning animatronics.

I guess we'll see, while I personally don't think it needs it, I'm not put any expectation in it happening. So if it does happen I'll be completely surprised. At least with the Canons I had the expectation of them fixing them eventually.

The most annoying thing is we were planning a visit in June, and could have enjoyed this! Now that we need to cancel all our US plans, this will probably be broken by the time we can visit again 😭

Great news! You know what, maybe they really are fixing the old doors effect on Indy? Thank God for milestone anniversaries.
What makes me a little bit more hopeful for that is that they’re currently working on an Indy retheme of Dinosaur in Florida. I know it won’t be the exact same ride as in California, but I wonder if they designed a new version of the effect for the Florida one, and were like “might as well make 2 and install one in California as well.”

It's criminal that we have pay again to get on rides.
I don't mind paying once in a blue moon, and felt like this was a special occasion. I will however not be purchasing LL for the next few months as penance. 😂

It was great to see them move again. Lt Beck audio at the end was the only thing missing but could of been because we were stacked in line there.
I will say wait time said 50 minutes only waited 30.
That also happened on my ride-through and we weren't stacked at all. The TDA gods giveth and they taketh.

When I went, wait time was posted at 60 and I believed it as I could see the end of the line from the outside.

So what is the rule to judging how long the line really is for Rise? I you can see the end of the line inside then it's less than 30 min? If it is outside or at the entrance than it's an hour?
