They don't bike on the ship. It's a river cruise, and the bikers meet the ship at the next stop. Why the sad reaction? It's not as if they are forced to do this - the bikers are enjoying themselves! :)

Also, not having to move from one hotel to another is a plus. We're thinking of booking a family cruise (we're all adults) on a line that is known for having biking available. People can do and see what they prefer, and socialize at dinner each night.

AFIAK, if they are FL residents, their "homestead" is protected from a forced sale (with some exceptions, such as a loan on the home, or mechanics liens, or, of course, property taxes, etc) so other assets, such as cars, savings, etc could be seized - but not their home. This is why everything...
