As Martin said, she's not to blame for the very big decisions, but is she a nice person? Yeahhhh no. I can't say whether she truly cares about the park or not, but she pulls off the image.
Yeah, some of these have been considered "problematic" for them for a while now, so these are cuts that they've been wanting for a while.
Photopass = Exactly what you said, plus their popularity has certainly gone down over the years due to the advancement of smartphones.

To recap/put things into a perspective from things I've heard, the following departments were impacted drastically at WDW today:
- Photopass
- Guest Relations
- DVC reps
- Mid-level management, the Guest Experience Managers (aka front-line's bosses)
- Backstage data operations
Lastly...
I've been listening to the Zoom Local 362 meeting and they've been answering CM's questions for the past two hours, dropping little nuggets of info. It's all mostly operational type things, but that was a big nugget that came about as someone asked what would be happening with the SSE CM's.
As that one other site says all the time...
CONFIRMED: According to the Local 362 Union, the union responsible representing Attractions, answered a question in a Zoom meeting regarding SSE's rehab and they have confirmed that it HAS been pushed back and WILL reopen with the rest of the park.
