Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

Literally of this. Literally the only way to really way to do something like this would be removing vehicles from 180top. It would require a LOT of reworking around that area (not to mention those vehicles weigh quite a bit and with an aging building like SSE, I don't know if the floorboards...

Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

As someone who worked there for 5 years in the past decade, derailments did happen once in a blue moon, if this is indeed what happened (one happened a few feet away from me at the unload area, quite literally and management kept running the attraction. Fun day that was). When it comes to...

News Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind attraction confirmed for Epcot

As Martin said, she's not to blame for the very big decisions, but is she a nice person? Yeahhhh no. I can't say whether she truly cares about the park or not, but she pulls off the image.

News Big changes coming to EPCOT's Future World?

That can happen sometimes when it's cold out (metal expanding and contracting). It was 61 early this morning, so that's most likely why.

Politics 28000 Layoffs coming to Disney's domestic theme parks - statement from Josh D'Amaro

Yeah, some of these have been considered "problematic" for them for a while now, so these are cuts that they've been wanting for a while. Photopass = Exactly what you said, plus their popularity has certainly gone down over the years due to the advancement of smartphones. GR = Less tours, less...

Politics 28000 Layoffs coming to Disney's domestic theme parks - statement from Josh D'Amaro

To recap/put things into a perspective from things I've heard, the following departments were impacted drastically at WDW today: - Photopass - Guest Relations - DVC reps - Mid-level management, the Guest Experience Managers (aka front-line's bosses) - Backstage data operations Lastly...

    The Rise of Ladder

Wow, this seriously is a blast from the past! I still quote stories about the Ladder to this day. :)

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Nope. Only DHS and MK went that quick. DAK and Epcot took until the next morning.

    Splash Mountain re-theme announced

When people claim ownership to something because they refuse to look at someone else's viewpoint and challenge their own opinion....Yeah. Entitlement.

Rumor Spaceship Earth Redo Shelved Indefinitely

The union meeting stipulated that it was pushed back, as the CM's who work there will be going back upon park opening.

What's Still On and What's Now Off

I've been listening to the Zoom Local 362 meeting and they've been answering CM's questions for the past two hours, dropping little nuggets of info. It's all mostly operational type things, but that was a big nugget that came about as someone asked what would be happening with the SSE CM's.

What's Still On and What's Now Off

As that one other site says all the time... CONFIRMED: According to the Local 362 Union, the union responsible representing Attractions, answered a question in a Zoom meeting regarding SSE's rehab and they have confirmed that it HAS been pushed back and WILL reopen with the rest of the park.

News Walt Disney World's COVID-19 reopening plans announced - July 11

The first sentence: as a Florida local who has gone outside with a mask on regularly, it's called wearing a mask with breathable material. Second sentence...no...just...no. And as someone who wears glasses, you can literally look it up on YouTube to prevent steaming up of glasses. That easy.

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

True, but from what I've seen, there's definitely a pent-up demand to go to the parks from locals, especially CM's with families. They may get more money from room stays than turnstile clicks, but the demand is there.

Universal Puts Disney's Reopening on Defensive

Truth. AP's kept the place afloat after 9/11 and during the recession, they'll be the ones to save it now.
