Think there's a balance there - successful enough (in covid times) to get a sequel and potentially a franchise, but not enough (yet) to redo an attraction. Coco's another example - it won't get a sequel because Pixar generally operate a bit differently, but it was theoretically successful enough...
I'd go country over ride personally - the best part of Epcot is walking around the World Showcase and taking it all in. Epcot could do with more rides, but no moreso than Animal Kingdom (which needs at least one big one) or Hollywood Studios (which desperately needs a couple of small ones) do...
We're doing a week's cruise to kick off a three week Disney honeymoon. For the parks, Memory Maker comes free with our tickets. But is it worth getting the photo package on the cruise? In the parks, there's obviously a lot of photographers around and you can meet characters as well - does DCL...
We'll be at WDW from the 14th for two weeks for our honeymoon. I've heard that Disney often give small perks to honeymooners, and wondered if people thought there was any chance we'd get invited on this one during the AP previews? I'm assuming not, and am obviously in no way feeling entitled to...
Not reading the rest of this as I don't want to be spoiled, but can I please ask how intense this is compared to other Disney coasters, and if it goes upside down? The penultimate day of our three-week honeymoon is opening day and we'll try to ride it if we can (hopefully a physical queue rather...
I don’t think it’s been overly dissimilar to the reports of other ones TBH, I expect they only had a few percent of tickets unsold at the most.
Most rides a walk on (we did everything we wanted to with waits of 0-5 minutes, and will jump into the Seven Dwarves queue just before the end). Easy...
Going tonight, currently on the bus from Pop Century. The bus queue was huge, over a dozen parties couldn’t fit in the double bus that arrived. Makes me wonder if this’ll be anything like the low crowd event Disney advertise.
(Apologies for breaking rank and paying Disney’s obscene prices; this...
You lot did not undersell it. What a ride! My wife counted and we were 34th and 35th in the queue this morning. Must say, despite all my wasted time learning about boarding groups, the old fashioned way of turning up early is much better. We got to the park at 7:15 and were in the caves by 7:45...
Been following this thread since opening day from the UK, and in two days I finally fly out for a trip originally planned for May 2020! My boarding group knowledge is of no use whatsoever but I'll always have fond memories of checking this thread each day (posting in it is why I signed up) and...
They'll have limited capacity further for the first one as that's the one where reviewers will have gone. All the reviews could say how low crowd the event is to encourage people to buy, without it being a realistic comparison to the other events.
Limiting locals' rides on it seems unnecessary IMO, but I could see on-site guests of a certain number of days getting one guaranteed pass to go on, seems like it would fit with the direction Disney are trending in. Could limit it to use before 1PM so that the second boarding group drop could...
Genuine question - are most countries locking down again? I think we only hear about 10/20 MEDCs consistently in the news, but I'm not sure if the other 100-odd countries around the world are still locking down or not.
