Disney Merriest Nites, an All-New After-Hours Event at Disneyland Park

Both December dates are now sold out, the 3 November dates are still available.

I'll be curious to hear your thoughts!

California Statewide Flex Alert - What Does Disneyland Do?

I feel like the solution should be to have infrastructure that can handle the hot weather we experience every year in California, instead of having people not do laundry or use AC.

Disney Merriest Nites, an All-New After-Hours Event at Disneyland Park

I just checked the calendar also, and 12/9 is now sold out. I'm actually surprised that sold out already today.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

So.. any hints as to when this will roll out? I'm still hoping to be able to try out the new system during my trip for Oogie Boogie next month. Edit: I just saw that this is expected to launch at WDW the first week of October. Any rumors of Disneyland also?

    The Downtown Disney Thread

Lovepop mostly sells "pop-up" cards for all occasions. I'm pretty sure they were on shark tank a while ago. I actually bought a few of their cards a few years ago and thought they were pretty well made! However I have no idea if that is considered origami....

Dining reopening news *(more reopening dates added on 8/4/21)*

I've been checking daily to get Lamplight Lounge reservations for any day of my trip 10/10-10/12 and was finally able to snag lunch reservations today! So glad I kept checking, I thought I wasn't going to get anything.

    Say NO To Genie+ PETITION

At least comparing to Maxpass at DLR, I've seen all fastpasses for every ride booked up by noon on the busiest days. Depending on how many people get the Genie+ it will absolutely fill up occasionally.

Have the Trams gone to Yesterland?

This makes more sense than the other excuses but still isn't a great look. Air quality studies could easily have occurred during the planning/design stages of that parking garage. Any decent commercial general contractor would have looked at proper ventilation for a space like that.

    The Miscellaneous Thought Thread

I just noticed on the Disneyland website that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for refurbishment on 9/3 and will reopen in "fall 2021". I really hope that means all the explosion effects will be coming back.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

From reading Josh D'Amoro's comments on this, he made it sound like there will still be a virtual queue for Rise. Quote from the D23 article: "Now there’s another option on top of the virtual queue so if Rise of the Resistance is the reason you’re at Disneyland or Disney’s Hollywood Studios...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

From the announcement, emphasis mine: "For the price of $15 per ticket per day at Walt Disney World Resort and $20 per ticket per day at Disneyland Resort, choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance. You can make one...

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

I feel like by not including this with the Keys means less people will be using it on busy days, making it more useful for those who do buy it.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

That's what I was saying. This new system sounds like that won't be an option.

Disney Genie/Genie+ On Their Way to Anaheim

Well I just hope "fall" means by early October for this to release. I want to be able to skip at least some of those long lines on my trip for Oogie Boogie Bash. Last time I was there around that time the parks were insanely crowded.
