Surely anyone considering travelling for “rides” can still look forward to it without caring about “imagineering”
Earlier art suggested otherwise; now it’s more like the other towers. Although even with forced perspective it looks shorter. I’d hope that’s the case.

The exterior strobes could have been done with the recent work. Long lost effect but relatively easy to replace - and they’re way outside of the ride envelope
