News Disney will begin reducing physical distancing to 3ft over the next few weeks at Walt Disney World

Agree!! Our ride photos and ride experience from Frozen were awful because of it. You couldn’t even see us because of the bar being used to hold up the plexiglass.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

I feel like Disney is going with the same approach as other major companies— “strongly encourages unvaccinated to wear a mask” versus literally trying to figure out who is or who isn’t vaccinated. This is exactly what Target has on their sign— “We strongly encourage unvaccinated customers to...

News Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Standby Line and Boarding Groups at Disney's Hollywood Studios

This is how I felt, but we were able to score a boarding group last Friday during our vacation. I got us boarding group # 7, which meant we were able to get in line right away— second in line 😀 I tried on Tuesday of last week, but I was not successful and didn’t even bother trying at 1:00 on...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

I I specifically said “a bit annoying” and also said I would never disrespect the rules. I wouldn’t have gone to Disney while masks were still required outdoors.

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

We just got back from Disney yesterday. We had a wonderful trip and enjoyed not wearing masks outside. Putting the masks on for attractions and indoors was a bit annoying, considering we could go maskless literally anywhere but within Disney. I also spoke with cast members outside who were...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

Yup! That news comment clearly says that fully vaccinated can enjoy time indoors and outdoors without a mask! This must have prompted Universal’s move on dropping the mandatory masking, and I’ll bet Disney does follow by tomorrow. They now have that cover and also can’t say “due to local...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

I’m so excited! Super hopeful that Disney does what Universal and most other theme parks have done. It’s beyond ridiculous that masks aren’t optional or recommended already versus mandatory. The vaccines are widely available, and it’s time for folks who want to mask up to do so and those that...

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

And the Orange County 14 day rolling average is definitely under 5%, so maybe folks are wondering why Demings hasn’t moved to Phase 3. Even with his exclusion of rapid tests, the county hit the 14 day under 5% last week. It’s well under 5%, and has been under, when you include all tests.

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

That’s still over a week away. I was thinking with this official news that he would announce it much sooner.

Woohoo!! Is Mayor Demings going to hold a press conference to announce Phase 3?

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

I don’t think we need to check vaccine status or continue “mandating” masks. Covid stats are way better, and cases in all of the US yesterday was 18,000, making the 7 day average around 25,000 cases. Vaccines are still happening and now a new case does not equal what it did last year. We have...

Orange County, FL report for the 14-day positivity— things look really good 😀

Coronavirus and Walt Disney World general discussion

Today’s Orange County report looks good with the positivity rate for yesterday still under 4%, and the rolling average well around 5%, though I know the Mayor is using something different (excluding rapid tests I think).

News Disney mask policy at Walt Disney World theme parks

This looks really good here! Curious if Mayor Demings will announce something next week because if the percentages stay this good until mid next week, I don’t see how he can wait until June 2nd when the county has clearly met the Phase 3 criteria.
