Weird leap to “raving lunatic,” but ok - FWIW I hate the look of these tower monstrosities but would be happy to do some strength training in that fitness room.

Just a picture on another site (no imminent plans to be in Orlando), but that was the verbiage within the fitness center. Would really be something for a ‘deluxe’ Poly guest to test out.

I’m not thinking about the distance, have actually used the GF gym from a Poly studio (pre-Island Tower, so on the far side of the resort). But the GF’s fitness room is kind of dinky in comparison. This looks so much nicer and could have been a cool consolation prize for the Poly overall.

Compared to all the deluxe-DVC hybrids that came before (including some with fitness rooms in the DVC wing), it’s a seemingly small deviation that demonstrates some real contempt for the non-villa guests.

Seriously, it would be such a small carrot to offer, with guests in the original longhouses now making up a fraction of guests at the Poly. I could understand the tiny pool being exclusive to the DVC side, but not a (relatively) palatial fitness space at a resort that seriously longed for one...

The signage explicitly specifies “guests staying at the Disney Vacation Club of Disney’s Polynesian Villas.” If that’s truly enforced, it’s quite a slap in the face.

Coming out of lurk mode for a comment I haven’t seen yet: Did they really add a decent-looking fitness center to the Polynesian, on the ground floor for everyone to see, then specify that it’s only for the DVC side? If I were a cash-paying guest in a ‘deluxe’ room, I would be so ticked.

Personally I'm glad they look newer - while the distressed look works super well in Animal Kingdom's Africa and Asia, I think it can also be said that in this modern age of travel (influenced more by the likes of influencers and social media), many more African tourism spots are on the map...

That’s totally fair, the turtle brigade was a strange choice - it’s the part directly after that I wasn’t expecting and found really fun.

One more thing I liked, relative to expectations: Under the Sea. Have seen it getting ragged for not being as magical as the original, and of course it wasn't going to be. But I never expected to see fish playing instruments during the bridge, and the dance breakdown before the final chorus...

Typically analysts are able to project the full weekend numbers by the time Sunday morning rolls around. Sometimes they’re from the studio, that’s what Deadline is indicating. The numbers may fluctuate slightly, but this should be the ballpark.
