Armed Forces Salute--twice in one year by military member and spouse?

When I have used them, the purchase is done at your local military ticket office and activation is done at a ticket window or guest services. At the time of activation, I believe they tie the active duty or retired military ID to the tickets. With that information, I believe two military...

Booking dining when staying off property

All of the ones I saw were Disney Springs. I believe that is the highest concentration of second-party owned restaurants, and they probably have the option to open booking beyond just the Disney app. I know other outlets like Yak and Yeti are not Disney owned, but I haven't noticed them on...

    Animal Kingdom closing at 7pm

I am on the same page as you with Pandora at night. It is my favorite part of any of the 4 parks in the evening. It is a shame that Disney executed something that well and then made it so hard to experience. That said, I believe if you get in line for FoP just prior to park closing but before...

Booking dining when staying off property

I just did an offsite/non-park trip and had a lot of luck booking reservations the day prior or the day of via the Disney app and open table. Definitely check open table as they always had stuff that wasn't available via Disney. As an editorial comment, I got to try some restaurants I had been...

News Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns for 2022

I attended on the 16th. We were very lucky with the weather and had no parade or fireworks issues due to weather that evening. It was the only 1 of the 3 MNSSHP nights we were in town for that had no rain/thunderstorms. My impression was the sold out night we attended had less attendance...

    Need help w/ 1st deluxe experience - 1st on-site visit in a long time

100% Agree with CaptainAmerica. You need to decide whether theme or location is the most important driver. If it is theme, then WL or AKL are the runaway winners....both places are breathtaking to walk into (even if you don't stay there, visit both of them if you can). If location is the...

    LeFou's Brew

100% agree on the pork shank...In a park where I have trouble finding things I really want to eat, that was a standout. I dumped out my LeFou's the one time I tried it. It was not good at all and really disappointed in comparison to butter beer.

    Wilderness Lodge

Don't skip the Territory Lounge. Great place to have drink. I believe they will let you take the drink into the lobby if you prefer that atmosphere. Also, you can grab a snack or drink in the store to enjoy in the lobby if that is your preference. The bottom line is to find any way you can...

    WDW Dolphin?

Rooms are probably between a moderate and deluxe by Disney standards, but beds are great. As others have mentioned, transportation and theming are not as good, but those things are literally right next door. Food is probably better than most Disney resorts. We got adjoining rooms there for...

    Teppan edo menu

I concur with the quality. I was also scratching my head about the lack of fried rice (my favorite part of hibachi). Guess that explains it...get them in and get them out fast. There is a Benihana in the Hilton Disney Springs. It has been years since I tried it, but it was far better than...

    Yak & Yetti walk-up??

I was there when they opened the front doors. I don't remember it being 1030, but the times may have adjusted since we were there. We are rope droppers so early lunch is OK for us.

    Best Disney Springs Restaurant?

Not because it is necessarily the best, but we usually hit Splitsville. The menu has something for everyone, execution is reasonably good, and you can usually get in on much shorter notice than 60 day ADRs. I want to try City Works though. That may be hit the mark for similar reasons. We...

What do you think about the 7DMT?

The theme and execution is awesome from start to finish, it is friendly for the kiddies, but it is very short/tame. I can't help but wonder what the designers of Hagrids would have done with that theme. For me Hagrids is the gold standard of themed coasters in Orlando. 7DMT could have been so...

Hey! Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge?

I stayed in that "honeymoon suite" a couple of times as well...such great memories of WL. It is still my sentimental and themed favorite. YC/BC are more about functionality and location.

Hey! Beach Club or Wilderness Lodge?

Agree on the wood floors, but I got over that quickly. These might be the best designed rooms I have ever stayed in. Huge amounts of storage, great lighting, great bathroom, outlets and USBs in all the right places. The details and thought that went into this design are exceptional.
