Can you get the Magic Your Way Package with Dining with AAA, and if so, do you still get the discount on the room, package, etc?

Are the package prices for AAA better than the Disney package prices? If there is a savings, can you book AAA without being a member or do you have to join? Does paying to join if you are not already a member cancel out any savings?

We are going to be at WDW January 19-27. Is there any chance SM might open back up early? Has anyone ever have this happen? This is our favorite ride and we are dissapointed, although we know it is a risk we take for going in January. :(
