The new scene will debut November 12th in Magic Kingdom.

That’s pathetic with it already in DL and DLP. It should be in MK already.

The ride needs to go down for refurbishment first to upgrade the projector. That’s why we are getting it in November instead because it will be down most of October and early November.
If only they had closed it in mid-August to avoid a closure at the start of the 50th…foolish.

Glad it is getting a new projector. It looked fabulous at DCA.

Super weird timing. Especially when the last month had been the lowest attendance in quite some time. Not having the show option would have been less of a deal and would have had it all set up for 10/1.

Absolutely bewildering. Did someone forget the 50th was starting? It’s probably something ridiculous like “we need to wait for the FY22 budget.”

1: Why in Bob, didnt they do the projector replacement in August or September, especially if the new scene is already showing in other parks.

2: they better fix the misaligned opening scene that is way out of focus that makes me wonder each time if I have suddenly gone half blind.
It looks terrible, doesn’t it? I was shocked when aI went to DCA and could actually see what was going on!

I noticed that, too, but that must be coincidental, as you say. Unless Chapek plans to require a Disney+ membership to see PhilharMagic. Always possible…
The press release makes it sound like all aspects of the corporation are required to celebrate D+ in some way...

In honor of the second anniversary of Disney+, subscribers will have access to promotions and experiences across the Company. Disney Parks and Resorts around the world and Disney Cruise Line will roll out the blue carpet for Disney+ fans with some surprise and delight moments including photo opportunities, character moments and more; shopDisney.com will have special offers; popular network shows and syndicated series will join in the celebration along with talent and series across ABC, Disney Channel, ESPN and ESPN+, Freeform, FX, Hulu, National Geographic in the U.S., and on owned channels abroad.

Just imagine Simba at the beginning of the Lion King being held up for all the animals to bow down to.

Simba is D+. The animals are the other operating segments of Disney.
