They say it’s preferable to get the same vaccine for your booster shot as what you got first time already. But, if not available or you can’t get it for some other reason, then you can get the other. Read it here and also somewhere else that I can’t find right now.

CVS has an option for currently eligible to click a radio button for their manufacturer. In my area, there is one location with Moderna for my wife’s shot. The rest are Pfizer locations.

I'm going to email my work and see what they have planned. I was lucky to get vaccinated early with all the clinicians - so they must realize we all got Moderna and will all be up about the same time.

Can you describe why not? Everythig Ive' read from the airlines states use of HEPA filters, which is a MIL spec and not something you just handwave at.

I’ll agree, we don’t need the government to dictate every scenario. But, it would be nice if they helped with the tools and information. They don’t even need to do it all. That means states, doesn’t have to be federal, working on how to expose vaccination information from their vaccine registries. Private companies can work on how to deal with cross state multi jurisdiction checking them.

Likewise, something like a health department rating for business. That outdoor beer garden gets an A+ for ventilation while the hole in the wall basement bar, not so much. Then, customers could use the knowledge and vaccine requirements to make judgements. The beer garden, who cares if they check. The bar, customers may not care, but they probably should. That way businesses can compete on if vaccination status is important or competitive or not. Different for different ones.

I agree. I’d actually like the CDC to come out and formally recommend that all companies require employees to be vaccinated to be present onsite at physical work locations. This would give corporations more ammo to say Theu are adopting a policy that complies with the CDC recommendations. It wouldn’t force companies to adopt but could go a long way. I also think it would have been great to have a Federal database of vaccination records to make passports easy and secure.

Yeah by federal transportation lifts masks in January 18th 2022 as the virus slow down, unvaccinated people got vaccinated as kids 5-11 too next year we'll have a better Thanksgiving and Christmas this year with no more spikes anymore.

Mil spec terminology refers to durability, the it can take a beating and keep on working thing, medical grade is the comparison for the HEPA filters that the airlines have used since the 1980's. Very good air filtration systems of high quality and do an excellent job, but, masking is necessary because exposure can still occur. The airlines imply passengers are perfectly safe and cannot catch COVID19 while in flight because the air is filtered and circulated quickly plus the air reintroduced into the cabin has been mixed w outside air also it comes out of individual vents above each passenger. Sounds really good and assuring then the caveats about masks and sanitizing are quickly mentioned (kind of like fine print). The filters function not killing but straining out particles / bacteria or whatever down to almost microscopic levels, so yea stuff does get through, talking virus.

I tried this with my brother-in-law and he told me that, based on his research, he will be able to avoid COVID because of his diet and the special water and air filtration systems in his home. Also, he found out that the vaccines don’t work against the variants.

Most in the government promote vaccination. Those who don't have weird political agendas. As for masks or no masks, that's due to clarifying with science. And adults not vaccinating which always makes spread worse no matter the disease

There is more nuance than these binary positions here would have one believe. I am not going against the notion that vaccinations represent the most effective defense in the current pandemic. However, these positions are also being oversold. ...if we're being honest.

Immunity as mentioned in that study was not zero and the study was less than 300 people if I read correctly. Now, I have people tell me sample sizes that small are not reliable when I have presented data that doesn't follow the popular narrative. So we can't have it both ways.

And Fauci? C'mon. He doesn't walk on water. Was he a voice of calm and reason a year ago vs the folk he was standing next to? Yes. Does he need to step aside for new eyes on this situation given his dubious relationships and this gain of function stuff? I believe he does. No shame. Thank you for your service and distinguished career, doc, but it's time for some new leadership.

There is more nuance than these binary positions here would have one believe. I am not going against the notion that vaccinations represent the most effective defense in the current pandemic. However, these positions are also being oversold. ...if we're being honest.

That is not honest. Vaccines are the single best and most effective defense we have. No, they aren’t 100% perfect. But they are better than anything else, including better then naturally acquired immunity from a year+ earlier.

Immunity as mentioned in that study was not zero and the study was less than 300 people if I read correctly. Now, I have people tell me sample sizes that small are not reliable when I have presented data that doesn't follow the popular narrative. So we can't have it both ways.

And Fauci? C'mon. He doesn't walk on water. Was he a voice of calm and reason a year ago vs the folk he was standing next to? Yes. Does he need to step aside for new eyes on this situation given his dubious relationships and this gain of function stuff? I believe he does. No shame. Walk on water? No, he isn’t a god. He is an honest public servant, a preeminent scientist, who has been on the front line protecting this nation for decades. Of course he wasn’t and isn’t all knowing. But he knows 100000x more than the people slandering him out of some political gamesmanship

That's all well and good, but it can take the mystery out of trying a new to you place, like the adventure of street food vendors in NYC. Actually, I have had only excellent street food in NYC, even last month, lol. Nothing quite like a roulette wheel.

Yes semantics. I did more w DOD than a college project. Just saying. Regardless thank you for pointing out that exposure occurs no matter how good the filtration system is. Considering the close quarters the livestock, I mean air passengers, are herded, corralled and ushered about in then confined in a cylinder w wings for transport, yes, definitely enhanced opportunities for cross contamination. If air travel is absolutely necessary due to distance, time and importance to be at a specific destination a person does what a person has to do. For pleasure and leisure it would be healthier to find a, maybe slower, but safer manner of transport.

I got my 3rd shot at Publix, and they specified that they would ONLY give like-for-like. No crossing over with manufacturers.
