Looks like a patient was taken to hospital by helicopter off the Disney Magic. Everything’s fine. Could be any number of things, right? RIGHT?
Really bad hemorrhoids??

I am thinking more on the side of a heart attack...Really bad hemorrhoids??
Well, it’s not like the context of “unprecedented” has changed a bit. Or the meaning. Or both. The "right, right" at the end seemed you were uneasy. lol
Would Disney be required to report if it was COVID-related? Any attorneys on the board?I am thinking more on the side of a heart attack...
Does that mean they can file for unemployment benefits and the extra money from fed?in most cases nope. Ya get the ax....Why should they have to be accommodated. (UNLESS its a legit reason, but thats so rare)
Then they won.I can only speak from my experience. Yes, they can continue to work from home for now.
I was picking up a prescription at a CVS near my house earlier today and all of the COVID vaccination waiting chairs were full. I haven't seen that in a while. If anyone cares to see a silver lining…there were half a million new first jabs done yesterday per the CDC data. Only 0.2% of the population but a small uptick from the pace we had slowed down too. Maybe Delta is appropriately frightening some of the hold outs.
Office employees are vaccinate or WFH here as well. They were POd when the company gave the shop employees a bonus for coming to work daily during all this. That would be nice but I'd guess that would make people less likely to get the vaccine so they can stay wfh![]()
Not that I know of. Refusing to vaccinate so that you can come to work and do your job strikes me as firing for cause...which makes a person ineligible for unemployment.Does that mean they can file for unemployment benefits and the extra from fed?
I often watch live streams if not live, within a few days of being posted. There are some serious crowds for claiming to be under capacity. Oh, how I miss my youth when our parents would take us out of school in early October for three or four weekdays plus the weekend and be back in time for Monday school again and we would have the place pretty much to ourselves with everything open and working with the exception of Aunt Polly's on Tom Sawyer Island, as a real seasonal close.Who said anything about limiting capacity? All I've heard people speculating is if masks indoors is coming back.
The reservations are certainly more reduced than 100% capacity, but it does feel pretty much normal these days.
I have a friend who was let go because of it. Not eligible for unemployment (and can’t afford to litigate it).Not that I know of. Refusing to vaccinate so that you can come to work and do your job strikes me as firing for cause...which makes a person ineligible for unemployment.
Why jump to covid? My thoughts are accident first given they had just left Liverpool the night before.Would Disney be required to report if it was COVID-related? Any attorneys on the board?
Half the states ended this early.Does that mean they can file for unemployment benefits and the extra money from fed?
Pretty sure they have to report all illnesses. That is one of the reasons you used to always hear about any norovirus outbreaks on ships prior to COVID. Other industries are not required to do that level of reporting that the cruise industry has always been subject to.Would Disney be required to report if it was COVID-related? Any attorneys on the board?
Because it’s me, Helena. Why jump to covid? My thoughts are accident first given they had just left Liverpool the night before.
That is pretty messed up.tbh...just like those who refuse to get vaccinated have it coming to them, so do people who are taking cruises at this time.![]()
I can’t understand getting on a cruise now with all the social distancing and masking. It sounds like a floating prison. With Mickey waffles. That is pretty messed up.
I feel sad for people who get sick, but its also up to personal responsibility and common sense to make the right choices. Going on a cruise, in my opinion, is not one of them. Masks are still required on planes, why would someone think its safe to go spend a week on board a floating Petri dish with the same hundreds of people with no escape!? It may be harsh, but its true. That is pretty messed up.
There are also lawsuits against that right now. I think Indiana judge had that reversed. Why jump to covid? My thoughts are accident first given they had just left Liverpool the night before.
Half the states ended this early.
It's always sounded like that to me!I can’t understand getting on a cruise now with all the social distancing and masking. It sounds like a floating prison. With Mickey waffles.
My dad had appendicitis 2 days into a cruise. Once they got to the port in Cozumel he had to be admitted to the hospital and had the appendectomy. Needless to say, they didn't re-board the ship that cruise. While it could have been covid, there's many things that could cause a medical emergency.Looks like a patient was taken to hospital by helicopter off the Disney Magic. Everything’s fine.
