Yes and no.I’m sorry, but that’s just way too black and white for me. Masks and social distancing do work to reduce spread. This is proven. Vaccines are more effective, but that doesn’t mean the other strategies have no impact.
Masks and social distancing work when people actually follow the rules.
We now have two very distinct groups.
One group that is very likely to follow the rules and unlikely to have the virus.
The other group is unlikely to follow and rules and likely to have the virus.
My area is over 80% vaccinated why should we have to mask and social distance?
Areas that are less than 50% vaccinated could care less what you tell them.
Masking and social distancing will not slow the spread because the areas with low vaccination rates will not mandate it.
