The Disney Magic European cruises were cancelled through some date in October. They announced they will use that ship this Summer to sail from the UK for UK residents only and they will be cruises to nowhere with no stops. That was the cruise that the Covid rules were posted for that included masks. That was based on UK rules. So far the remaining US cruises are officially cancelled through June but likely will be down longer. No word on what the rules will be when they start up again. So it’s possible you still need a mask but hopefully not by then especially if you also need to show proof of vaccination.
Look, I had some bad shellfish in March of 2019, but I wouldn't say it was a total loss for NYC.
Maybe DCL will cruise again by fall-late fall/winter.

Right now the ship that usually does Alaska cruises has no port. Canada has announced that they won’t allow ships with greater than 100 passengers in ports until February 2022. The ships that focus on the Caribbean have had all cruises cancelled into July right now. It seems highly unlikely they will actually be back in July. I think it’s a safe bet that the Fall is the earliest. The Governor of FL has made a big mess with his Executive Order banning vaccine passports and his office insists it applies to cruise ships leaving from FL ports so if they do want to come back sooner they may need to sail from a Caribbean island or maybe Baltimore.

When USA will get back to normal between late summer or fall, then there will be no more masks and social distancing forever.
