The concept art has one of the Star Blasters from the Nova Corps in front of the building.

That doesn’t look ovoid in shape though, if that patch of sand is supposed to be the shape of the ship it wouldn’t look like that.

The patch of sand is most likely just a hole in the slab where the ship will go and an actual representation of the shape of the ship.

I have NEVER seen a picture of the building with this sign in red letters. It has always been blue letters. I have a really strong feeling this was photoshopped, but it looks too real. Did this actually exist or not???

I'm pretty sure that didn't exist. The original sign had red letters, but it was a completely different sign.

Photoshopped. The letters were blue the entire life of that sign. But the red used here really makes it pop. I rather like it. It’s a callback to the original sign.

I guess the one good thing about Guardians is that it got rid of UOE’s ugly second version sign.

I never thought it was that bad, but then again I wasn't alive to see the old one. (They changed it like two years before I showed up in the world). I am glad they changed it back to its original color scheme in 2010 though because the rainbow was a bit of an acid trip.

Yea the rainbow spines were...horrendous. I don’t think anyone misses those. The sides the building itself had much more detail and thought put into them that was destroyed when Ellen came in which is a shame. Not only did we get rainbow spines but we lost so many mirrored tiles and reflecting pools for no reason at all.

Agreed, they at least had actual color instead of the barf palette used for Innoventions

I can’t even think of a single excuse as to why anyone would find that paint job acceptable.

Perhaps the buildings were painted ugly as way to convince management they were an eyesore and one needed to go.

I'm hoping they'll tear down Spaceship Earth. It draws attention away from Cosmic Rewind and blocks some views of the building.
