The process of getting a piece teaches you discipline, cognitive reasoning and exposes you to differences in ideas and biology.

The piece is worthless...the process is invaluable.

But hell those student loans make the whole thing an economic ball and chain....

Some of the wealthiest and most successful people don't have a piece of paper. There is nothing wrong with having a unique skill set or being an entrepreneur.

I would say that education makes a person better educated and hopefully more well-rounded. Smarter, not necessarily.

My mother was uneducated but one of the smartest people I’ve ever known.

Yeah, the funny part is it all started with a simple comment from someone on whether education played a part in level of acceptance of the vaccine, but the demographic data from the survey didn’t show a large disparity anyway. Somehow that turned into a bunch of people saying having a college degree doesn’t make you smarter which was never the topic anyway.

But yes the original intent was don’t assume college educated means you are on a particular side. College Educated means red and blue!

Does that LA education include reading comprehension?? Because I’ve had to clarify things I didn’t say or even hint to support at least a few teams from other already...and the night is so young.

It's not that valuable if it doesn't pay the bills.

And often one of those bills is a large college loan. This is the biggest reason I've never told my kids they HAVE to attend college to be successful (as was assumed by/taught to my generation), only that they cannot stop learning after high school - trade school, internships, anything else. The amount of debt these students finish their degrees with is often staggering and disturbing.

a large percentage of that population also had mommy and daddy's wallet behind them.
