In a perfect world that might be possible. In reality, approximately 60% of adults in the US have at least 1 chronic medical condition and 40% have more than one. So without even factoring age into the conversation, you're effectively telling 60% of the country to stay home and isolate themselves. Then add in the family members who live with them who must also isolate in order to avoid exposing them and I don't see how that's any better for the economy. Oh, and don't forget the people who just don't want to risk catching the virus and being one of the unlucky ones who don't fit into the high risk category but still die. It hardly seems like the recipe for a booming economy and the only real difference is that people who hate being told to wear a mask will be slightly happier.

It was supposed to be medical jargon, along with T-Cell and NPI thrown in to sound smarter. Presumably to imply I was less smart. The message was clear on this end.

The laughing emoji was genuine. It's always genuine when I use it. If I give a post one, and it wasn't supposed to be a joke, that's on my dark sense of humor and not a reflection on the poster. (This one made me chuckle for reals.)

Sturgis is a VERY small town. SD and the surrounding states are suffering because the rally went on unmitigated, sure. But those cases were likely brought in from bikers from all over the country. Just going through the streets of Wall or Rapid City, SD, during August and looking at license plates illustrate this fact.
It also shows, imo, that theme park operations with their protective measures and almost militant enforcement is the right way to go, relatively.
