Disney Springs testing new no-stop security scanner for new entry screening when the parks reopen
The new system is able to process 10X the number of guests as traditional metal detectors.

Yes its a game changer to the entry experience. Really hope this gets the green light.This makes me more excited than I'd care to admit. I absolutely hate Disney's current bag check/detector screening. This would be amazing.

Does this mean security checks are going to become a fixture at Springs in the future and that they intend to create a permanent secure zone there? I was under the impression the current ‘checks’ were just temp screening.

Yes, although I don't believe the temp module is part of this current test.The 3,600 people/hour is for the scanner (for weapons). The add-on temperature module slows it down to 800-1,300 people/hour.
Yes, knives of any kind are banned by Disney for entry to the parks.I wonder if this includes no pocket knives ? {I mean like small things like my dads swiss army knife}
