I spent two whole days at Universal, by myself, and it was almost 100% in the WWOHP. I took loads of pictures, ate in both the Leaky Cauldron and the Three Broomsticks. I rode the Hogwarts Express, both ways a few times. Both sides are great, and I loved the Night Bus. When my grandson found out that I didn't ride any thrill rides, he shook his head. I think he thought I was nuts. I have great memories of those two days. Walking through Gringotts, and the many wonderful shops. It was indeed like being in the movie. I loved the Butterbeer.

The face in my new pic isn't only of my Torgo cosplay, but also just a mood. I'm tired, trying to juggle time between classes, filming/ editing a new episode of Film Badge Flops (Manos the Hands of Fate), working on voice over for my friend's animated short, and working on weekends. Yeesh.

Channel 11 Has a special program on about Mr. Rogers. I ran across it while looking for something to watch. My youngest son Loved watching Mr. Rogers. My oldest was always too busy playing sports outside with his friends to sit long enough. Different kids, with different likes.

I read an article on those houses years ago and I remember the article said the quality of the lumber was nothing you see going into he houses being built today---- knot free lumber in roof rafters, floor joists, wall studs etc. Sears used to be my father and mines go to store shame what has happened to Sears

Yep, the new growth lumber now being used is not as dense, therefore, not as strong as the old growth lumber that was used back in the day. Most of the homes we design have a lower floor base plate height of 12’-1”, a 24” floor truss, and 10’-1” plate heights on the upper and/or third floors (which can vary based on aesthetics or need). In everything at 10’-1” or above 2x6 exterior wall framing is required, instead of the traditional 2x4 16” on center framing.
If 2x4 framing is used at those heights, it either needs to be double-studded, stagger-studded, or have closer on-center spacing of the studs.
The 2x6 framing is not, necessarily, a bad thing, as many clients prefer the availability of more sound proofing, more insulation, and the more structural integrity aspect of the 2x6 studs, and don’t mind the added cost for those reasons.
Again, bottom line, new growth lumber is what’s being used these days (sans any reclaimed), and it just isn’t as dense and strong as the old growth lumber...!!!

My pop still has a major ratchet socket set that he purchased in 1953 (he woulda’ been about 20 years old at the time) that I have used many times on my vehicles when I was still at home way back when ...67 years, it’s had the hell used outta’ it, and none of it has ever failed...just like my beloved folks...!!!!!!!

Nope. I checked the coming soon locations and the closest is Ohio, and Kentucky. That is pretty far away from Wisconsin. I am not a Burrito eater though.

I actually did not hear of this franchise before. I'm guessing that is due to the age of it and the first location of it. Right now, I have to compare to how the Burger chain Culver's was back in the 1990s. Culver's was founded in 1984, but was limited to a small of states before the 2000s. Culver's now is found in 25 states.

I love Culver's. So many good things to choose from beyond even their wonderous burgers, cheese curds and chicken strips. The Frozen Custard in the warmer is top notch.

The house I recently sold was bought because of how it was built, 12" concrete foundation, good when it gets real cold in these parts. Solid Lumber and plaster walls. The roof was I believe 12" x 1.5" lumber. The house was sided in solid Cedar where there was wood. Our town has an ordinance that any brick on homes must be face brick where other towns allow cheaper brick on sides of home and in the rear of the building and garages. There is an ongoing battle between builders and town that all pipes in house must be copper excepting under sink type fittings. So far the town and plumbers are winning that battle.

My DD and I went to Noodles & Co for dinner tonight. They suspended their use of reusable and have gone back to one time use food items for their food including plastic silverware stating they are using extreme caution and provisions to try to ensure health safety. Today I went through the drive through of a Starbucks. They had a notice on the order area and drive up window stating they had suspended the reusable mugs. This too will pass and environmental options will be restored but for now I am with all the companies lessening the chances of viruses being possibly shared. Caution is my friend now.

What are the odds someone complains that they are creating too much garbage by using wipes. Let the finger scanner go for a couple of months. But, this will remind me to bring sanitizer when we go to Uni. Have everyone use it after using the scanner.

I doubt that type of complaint will be common. There are always a few nut jobs that will complain about being sanitary but I would bet few are going to shame themselves for Disney being conscious of cleanliness.

Disney has hand sanitizer everywhere now.

Huh, never thought of that but it actually makes sense, and not just for coronavirus. Coronavirus is airborne, but many illnesses are transferred via saliva. Easier to catch one of those illnesses when using refillable mugs. This is why I only if no option available will use a water fountain.

Yes airborne but cough and sneeze, wipe nose, touch mouth and it becomes also a surface disease and that is why they are calling for everyone to keep washing their hands. Think of a kid coughing into their hand or sneezing and then doing gymnastics on a shared mat in a gym. How often are those mats sanitized between gymnasts and how often are those gymnasts washing their hands after touching common mats and equipment as an example? Gross.
