Nothing anymore... just take it one day at a time. I am going to Orlando mid-Sept. with my sister, but, the uncertainty of my mobility is making it more of a dread instead of excitement. I'm figuring that I will, indeed, have to rent a scooter, but I know that if I overhear one comment about fat and lazy, I might just go postal. I cannot walk or stand for long periods of time but the time I can do it can be enough time to inflect a certain amount of damage. Not the least of which will be getting thrown out of Uni or WDW.

I'm looking forward to a future forum post where you are able to truthfully say that you've made some strides toward a stronger pain free body. Is there any therapy or anything at all you can do to improve the situation? Wishing you well😉

Tomorrow: one of my last days in the office before I WFH full time :D
Next Week: going to a 1st birthday party so my baby can play with other babies!
Next month: DISNEY WORLD!!!
Next Year: growing our family, I hope.
Years from now: raising good kids, and being happy

Well on Tuesday I go to nerve specialists that shoot tiny electrical charges in your muscles to see how or if they react. They don't like to tell anyone why they do that or what they expect to find, but, since I had the good luck (or in this case, the bad luck) to have been married to a Master degree'd Registered Nurse.. they are looking for a number of things, the biggest being MS. They have ruled out, to an extent, both the spinal disc situation and the circulation situation and are now looking for something exotic. I just wish they would tell me it's just old age... get over it. Then I can happily work my way around it. Thanks for your good wishes though.:)

I have enjoyed reading your posts for a long time now, but must admit I have always assumed you were the type who could care less about someone else's misguided opinion.
Get the scooter, ride it with pride and don't give a flying flip about how others react.

1. My Silver AP being unblocked 8/09 and getting back to the parks

2. My hotel visit for SWGE opening on 8/29

3. Our first time eating at BOG & Y&Y (on the above trip)

4. Bringing my kids at least twice for ROE before it goes away

5. Going on 9/30 w/ wife (sans kids) for final ROE

6. ROTR on 12/05

7. Hopefully DL next year (both our kids 1st time)

8. All the new 50th refurbs/attractions across WDW property

9. Our first ever time traveling outside the country to visit TDL in 2022 (none of us have ever been)

🤩🤩🤩

Usually I am, but when one starts dealing with a real issue and you feel that others are judging you based on whatever it is that they base it on, even my hard shell like exterior can be pierced into the soft interior and it can hurt and, even worse, make me angry.

Here you go -- I have the solution! If some stranger judges you for using a scooter in the parks, just aim and shoot! (On a hot, Florida day, the Star Wars Super Soaker water blast will cool down the offender, and then maybe he/she will come to their senses?!) You may be performing a public service. ;)

Or, I could say I am looking forward to tomorrow. A day in which I can look back on today and say: "Hmm, glad all yesterday's stuff is done now"😌😁

I am looking forward to seeing the marching band half time show Friday. DD is so excited about it.
A marching band performance just for family and friends? Not gonna be a football game with an actual halftime?? August 2nd seems a bit early for football. Have a good time seeing DDs show and let me know how you liked it😉

New this year, and glad they are doing it. Today is the last day of band camp, and we are invited to see what they have been working on this week. I am glad I get to see it this time, without the people who are there for the game, and could care less about halftime. It often doesn't occur to them that I would like to see the show.

DD is really proud of her section. Band director commended her and the 2 other section leaders, because this is the first time that they have had a group already off book for the show. and the whole band has already done a top to bottom run of the full show, which usually doesn't happen until the last day of camp. That puts them about 9 hours ahead.

Great. I totally get it since I did 4 years of marching band in High School and 3 years in West Chester U. .....I didn't have to march my senior year of college so I chose not to. Anyway, good job by your DD, her band director and DD's peers too! ☺
