Keeping a dead horse of a parade alive for 13 years seems like it goes past the reasonable limit does it not?If it's a decision based on intelligent spending given differing demographics it isn't cheap. It's smart.
I'm not saying I know that's the case -- I'm leaving room for the possibility. Unlike the "Disney is cheap!!! chorus" crowd.
Spectro ran for 20.They’ve quickly trained us to stop expecting a new parade every couple years as they had done for decades...
While it’s still a big question mark about a nighttime light parade, I hope if that doesn’t pan out, MK at least gets a daytime parade instead of no new parade at all.
this!! the 50th has got to be more than just banners, cupcakes, a reskinned move it shake it atrocity, a happily ever after tag, and tron.
This seems so silly to me. Where does the arbitrary 5-7yrs come from? Why would a nighttime parade be an exception? This is all just a matter of opinion. I don't see parades as things that need to switch up often at all if they "work".
I tend to agree, but I know it's not the prevailing opinion here. I mean, I think parades should be kept in good condition while running, so that may mean updating floats or replacing on occasion, but I personally don't see parades as something that "has" to change regularly.
To be fair, we tend to only visit every few years and don't always watch the day parades so that affects my prospective.
I do find it interesting that people rail against "classic" attractions closing/changing but don't have the same kind of sentiment with parades or other entertainment. To me, for example, the MSEP is every bit a "classic" Disney offering on par with CBJ or the Tiki Bears and I think losing that forever would be just as heartbreaking as losing Grizzly Hall. YMMV
Nighttime parades cost much more to produce.Spectro ran for 20.
Wonder what the future holds for Once Upon A Time and Move It Shake It?
Spectro ran for 20.
That parade really fitted the nighttime atmosphere of the Magic Kingdom.Spectro.... sigh... I loved Spectro.
"Move It, Shake It, whatever" seriously needs to end for real in the future.Hopefully Move It, Shake It, Twist It, Bop It... whatever.... gets the Spectromagic Treatment. It actually deserves it.

It's the heart of Fantasyland, steps from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Cinderella's Royal Table. What were you expecting? Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Adventureland, Avatarland, Toy Story Land and Star Wars land aren't enough?looks nice, now if only those shops were more than just princess stuff, like they use to be.
