From the construction and model, there’s no indication that they’re building an exit right to the parking lot is there? There really needs to be. Funneling everyone through Main St would be insane.

They should widen Main Street by knocking down all of the buildings. That would really help with crowd flow.

...agreed...MUCH better.....

Yet they do it everyday for the last sixty four years.

Crowd levels haven't been this high until recent years. They also didn't turn all of Main Street into a nighttime spectacular viewing area until recent years. As someone who has tried to exit/enter the park around the time of fireworks, it is a huge nightmare.

They are intending to raise capacity of the park, so it will be different than the last 64 years

I don't see that as a reason to change the whole flow of the park by adding another exit. I'm sure they've already done a crowd control impact assessment and determined they could still funnel any extra guests safely through Main St.

Besides one thing to think about, guests don't all enter and leave at the same time. So any increase in crowds will be dispersed over the entire day and not just at rope drop or park closing. For example a majority of guests will still leave once the nighttime entertainment completes. While I expect the majority of those that would come for SW:GE would likely stay until the park closes.

SWGECA - The Blue X-Wing is there, Falcon of course is there, shuttle is there, the ITS is there and the A-Wing is there.
TIE fighter should be coming soon. One of my flight school contacts said they will be doing a flyover/pictures this month so maybe we'll see it in place as well. NOTE - The A-Wing was there, I think it was Monday 2/11 night, but was removed or relocated temporarily. Might be back in place by now.

I'm curious if people have any insight into how the more interactive non ride elements will work/if they've been scrapped or scaled back entirely. When we first heard about things like bartering at the market, the reputation system related with smugglers run, and the galactic credits systems, these all seemed like amazing ideas but as we near the opening and I don't see people talking about the concrete logistics I get worried they've been dropped (ala the roaming droids). I'll take them one by one with what I've heard

Bartering-This has been talked about recently so I'm guessing it's still a go. How does this not just make guests mad about feeling ripped off about paying more than someone else? I'm guessing there will be pretty strict price floors and ceilings so your "negotiations" will matter all of a dollar/it's all a show and the prices are fixed. It seems like this is going to be an interaction with an animatronic Dok-Ondar, so maybe this is more like the wand show at HP rather then a real shopping experience?

Reputation- This also gets repeated often so I'd be surprised to see this totally dropped. The only example always given is characters reacting to how you did on smugglers run, so it this the only use for the reputation system? I can see this practically working with magic bands at WDW but what about DL?

Credits- This seems the most far fetched to me. What good are galactic credits if you can't "buy" something with them? I doubt they'll give away anything more than a sticker for free. I feel like I've heard a rumor this is tied to the Disney Play app?

...I'm guessing something might be $10 and the SWGE character will say "$20" - you "talk him down" to the real price.

it wouldn’t be a bad idea to have a direct exit gate to the mickey and friend structure. There is already a castmember gate which is quite close to the north west corner of SWGE.

all they have to so ia add partition walla to keep guests from wandering in backstage areas. the gate leads directly to a sidewalk and to the staircase of the structure.

If the SWGE area of Disneyland has huge crowds close to closing and people are already in line, it would be easier to have guests exit thru that gate.
it wis not unusual for lines to get so long before park closing that brand new attractions stay open park hours. i remember Indiana jones staying open and they had to have additional CM line the walkways making sure guests heading towards mainstreet and out the gates. I remember walking thru the area and work crews already had planters being replanted and work lights on.
SWGE is at back of park with plenty of places to take a detour if no ones watching.

If not they would need to escort guests thru the whole park to make sure they safely get out the gates.
once guest exit if they are not parked in that structure they can take tram back to DTD/main plaza.

Except you've just lost all those last minute shoppers strolling down Main St.

So unless you're purposing they completely replicate a Main St shopping "alley" out this back exit, it'll never happen.
