I suppose it could be, but, humidifiers have been around for years, why would everyone switch to distilled at this point. Whatever it is, I guess I just have to make sure I have enough on hand.

I can tell you that pediatricians ask you to use distilled water in humidifiers for children. I have sinus issues from Iraq, and when we ran the humidifier with tap water or regular jugged water, it was a noticeable difference than when we ran it with distilled. You can smell and taste it in the air when it's not distilled. Also when I looked at the manual for our humidifier, it said to use distilled. It also said to clean it and dry it after every use, which is why we never use it :hilarious::hilarious:

Which is also why our humidifiers never lasted long.:hilarious:

Maybe @BuddyThomas could share his;)
My Liver Appreciation Day came at my most recent doctor exam when, mysteriously, he could not locate a liver. 😜

Kidding. It was even more mysterious than that. I came out in perfect health. When he said that, I actually blurred out “Even the liver???”

He looked at me like I had three heads but said, “Yes, even the liver.”

Another unexplained mystery of the universe.

😜

That is a reasonable possibility, however, my dilemma is after 20 years of my steadily buying the stuff for my machine why all of a sudden the shelves are cleared out. I have never seen that before except with an upcoming hurricane or a quarter inch of snow, both apparently being equal in disaster status. I guess it will remain a mystery except in speculation. Not the worlds biggest problem.

That direction to clean it after every use would cause me to not use it too. Knock on wood, but, I have been using my C-pap for over 20 years. Every time I have gotten new ones (they do break down) I get a two hour class on how to use it and part of that lecture is "it must be cleaned everyday". I just keep quiet and nod my head, because I never clean mine and in spite of all those new TV commercials that have lines of people telling you how sick they got because they "missed" a few days cleaning it and now have infections that would scare Dr. Salk. Maybe, I have an overactive immune system or something, but, whatever it is I'm fine with it.

My assumption on your dilemma is that it's not a demand issue, but rather a supply issue. Or maybe a distribution issue. I could be wrong, but I agree that there likely isn't a sudden run on distilled water from the customer side.

He's number 3. The list is:
1. Stewart
2. Mulgrew
3. Pine
4. Shatner
5. Brooks
6. Bacula

And if you want to include Discovery's captains, they're on the bottom two. Except we don't know Captain Pike real well yet.
He has this Captain Kirk vibe to him so far (first long episode is out, tomorrow is the second).

Also Bacula that low? I actually liked him better than Brooks and Pine, not a fan of Pine as Kirk.
The only one I really like of the Kelvin universe is Bones and young Spock.

I can't stand Scott Bakula. Not sure why, but I find Enterprise unwatchable because of it. I don't watch NCIS New Orleans for the same reason, in spite of watching Los Angeles (used to watch NCIS, gave it up after they botched Tony and Ziva and brought in the awful new girl).
