Preferred room at Coronado Springs or a standard?

Preferred puts you closer to the lobby, and the QS food, and the coffee.

We stayed there our first trip...standard room. It was opposite end of resort, and I timed it walking one night from lobby to the room. 8 minutes.

Its really not that bad of a walk...lots to look at. That was before the new buildings going up though. Hope that helps..

We got bumped up to a preferred room during our trip. The standard room we had in Ranchos was quite nice and also really quiet, but a good walk from the main part of the resort.

The preferred room was a lot closer to the main part. However, we were in Casitas but closer to the El Centro bus stop. Buses to and from the parks stop at Casitas first and El Centro last.

Keep in mind that there will be construction at the main part of the resort for the new tower. There tends to be convention folks at that property too, which I found makes the outdoor area a little noisy at times. We've always stayed in a standard room and like being a bit more isolated. As mentioned above, it is a pretty walk if you want to go to the main building.

We had a standard room in the back of the Ranchos section in March. We loved the location. It was really quiet and we didn't hear any of the construction noise. We had a quick and easy walk to the second bus stop - which meant we had a quick and easy walk at the end of the day coming back from the parks :) The walk to the main lobby wasn't that bad and we enjoyed the relaxing walk.

I like standard, and then ask for building #4. Which puts you close to both the main area and the first bus stop picked up on the way to the parks.

We have stayed in a Cabanas, twice, once in 8- near the main pool, once in 9 (now gone) both times waterview when we booked Standard view. Ranchos, in 2016, very quiet but only shrubbery view. We stayed Casitas 1 this time, we booked standard but got upgraded to King Jr Suite. Amazing! Casitas 1 was a skip and hop to El Centro. I love walking this resort though so I like all the areas. Obviously with the upgrade Casitas 1 was my favorite but I honestly love all the areas of this resort.
