I'm one of those people who reads books over and over again, so I always buy them. If I were in the US, I'd just get a library card and only buy my favorites, but a library card here costs somewhere around 45 euros, and their English section in my local library is terrible. They don't have much, and I don't like reading things in Dutch unless that's the original language. So much doesn't translate, so you miss a lot by reading in Dutch if it was originally in English. What's the other series you read recently?
It's a YA series called the Lunar Chronicles. Basically, the author based it off of fairy tales and instead made them science fiction books. Since I love Star Wars, they were right up my alley. I just happened to check out the first one from the digital library as an audiobook to keep me entertained at work since it was available and I was doing something tedious and repetitive one day, and I ended up enthralled with the books.

Right now I'm rereading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and I also have another book checked out of the library, plus another that I'm waiting for to get from the hold list.

Give her time. My mom didn't read Anne until she read it with me. Jane Eyre was so long that it was intimidating, so it took me until I was 17 to read it when I had to pick something off a list for school, and it was the least objectionable option, and Little Women I picked up at 20.
Have you read the other books in the Little Women setting? Little Men, Jo's boys, and there might be another, but I don't remember.

Why is DFB doing videos on bathrooms? Are they possibly running out of food to try? They do in all honesty seem to have been doing more park videos about resorts and such, than about food. I was disappointed to have gone to their site this morning hoping to see a new tasty treat and then saw the video you posted. They did have the Woody's Lunchbox article that they posted on WDWMagic.
You consume the food and drink... you gonna need the bathrooms. Natures way of saying when you gotta go you gotta go.

He's at the right age to really get a kick out of the Choose Your Own Adventure books!!
Oh I loved those!!!! And I wasn't much of a reader.
There's a series of books here that I know has been translated into English, and my kids both really liked it. Alfie the Werewolf...it's about a boy who suddenly one day turns into a werewolf, and he's been adopted by a friend's family, and it's all about his adventures from the time he discovers that he turns into a wolf at the full moon. It's pretty fun.

My son went to college in Ohio. He's been living in Kansas for almost 3 years. He wants to move back to Ohio. Or Florida. Or anyplace other than Kansas - except maybe Iowa.
I wouldn't recommend Nebraska....nothing there but cornfields. We'd drive through on our way to Illinois when we visited my mom's family, and it was always the most boring part of the drive.

Is there really anything new food wise in WDW?

It's my opinion that school really teaches you to hate reading. Seriously, there's very few books that I actually liked in high school whereas now I'm a definite bookwork. Why is it that every book we read from middle school on have to end badly or be depressing to be considered good literature? There's exceptions, like Huck Finn, Uncle Tom's Cabin, and cube, but in general, the books they forced onto us never got me excited about reading. Even Shakespeare. Shakespeare can be hysterical when you watch it or read it aloud for the full effect. But having to read it in a book and decifer it, it's no wonder kids learn to hate it.

In college, I had a class where we got to read a graphic novel about the Holocaust. We had another elective class entirely based on the Hunger Games. I don't understand why they can't throw in more interesting reads along with some of the classics they insisted on torturing us with. Then maybe we'd have more open minded students instead of ones who dread picking up books.
Moby Dick. OMG, the most boring book ever written. I still couldn't tell you a thing about that book...I kept falling asleep while reading it. I'd read a bit, fall asleep, so then I'd have to read what I'd already read....then fall asleep again. So after about the 5th time I'd fall asleep, I'd just move on and hope that it would get better.

It didn't.

Also, Please understand that not everyone is perfect, and that we get confused sometimes, and that you don't know whats Happening on the other side of the computer...
As The Mom said, give it time. I think the thing to keep in mind, as it sounds to me like this isn't the first time this happened to you, is that when you are entering a new situation, keep in mind that you ARE the new one. You are joining an established group who all have bonds and who have norms....you are joining...not taking control. The new kid in school has to find their niche, and give people a chance to get to know them, and in turn get to know the other people. If you come in and try to run the show, most people aren't going to be receptive to that. I don't know how old you are, but you come across as very very young, like you don't have much insight to how you come across. Just join in the conversation that's going on and let it happen naturally without trying to change it to fit the way you want it.

I joined this site when I was in mid mental breakdown..sorta.. I had just had surgery on my face and couldn’t look at myself in the mirror without crying. That may sound vain, but it was a really tough time for me. Cancer scare was bad enough, and I’m thankful it’s gone..but omg.. my face after the surgery.. it was horrendous. I’m still scarred and a little deformed, but no where near as bad as it was for the first few months and even year.

So, at the same time.. and I think one of the first threads I posted in, was about the alligator attack (don’t want to rehash it, just using for reference).. I posted a lot (still do..but even more those first few days/weeks).. anyway.. I didn’t realize that a “new member” wasn’t supposed to have opinions.🤷‍♀️
Sometimes I probably did sound too harsh.. unintentionally, but I’m sure it looked like a bombardment onto an already “formed” community. That’s how people took it anyway..and unfortunately I had way too much time on my hand those few weeks.

There’s some cool peeps here.. one has been a chat buddy thru some tough times, and even mailed Disney Mickey head shampoo for my elf on the shelf! Amazing, right?! I’m “newish” to This thread, and everyone here seems really wonderful.

One thing I severely dislike about the Internet (or life general) is when people lash out with a personal attack, or are just rude for no apparent reason.. that’s what it looked like you were doing, in my honest opinion. However, you’re right, we don’t know what’s going on with you.. and maybe it was a mistake. So, cheers to mistakes, and apologies accepted :)
Just trying to help, i was just confused because i was just giving advice and everybody got mad at me. and to be honest i still don't know why.

Playing the police force on a site where you're new isn't going to be well taken anywhere, especially towards a well-established member. Get to know the site first and be well known the you can MAYBE say something. Maybe. If you had been here longer, you would know that on this thread especially, multiple replies in a row are generally allowed, and on this site, it's considered more acceptable if replying to multiple people to make multiple posts on a thread instead of one giant post, even if it means you do have several posts in a row.

In this case, you should take it as a learning experience and move on. In which case, I'll introduce myself: Hi, I'm Missy, I like Star Wars and cats. And bacon. The real stuff, not the stuff @figmentfan423 tries to pass off as bacon.
^^^^ What she said.
I'm Songbird (I don't think anyone here know's my name except maybe @figmentfan423 ) and I'm a mom of 2. My oldest will turn 12 soon and she is insanely mature for her age and loves all things Disney...except Star Wars. My son just turned 10 and makes up for his sister's hatred of Star Wars...he loves it. I am American, having been born and raised in Wyoming, but I married a "Dutchy" and exported myself to the Netherlands almost 16 years ago. Nice to meet you. We really don't bite. Just let us sniff your hand before you try contact.

Also, Just a question, but why's everyone treating me like the bad guy here? It's just a miscommunication...
"you are joining...not taking control."
etc. I thought the person i was telling not to spam was new to the internet, so i wanted to help her. that's all. i didn't ask for hate.
And by the way, please words things a bit differently, what y'all have been saying has really made me feel cruddy. I legit cried last night, which is something i don't tell people usually. (Not Lying) And please understand you don't know what personal issues someone may be having at the time, and that your words may severely affect them. All i wanted to do was help. And I'm only a kid, I'm Not perfect, I'm just trying to help.

That’s great!
I bought the first HP book for kiddo in October 2016, 1st grade.. he had a lot of trouble with several of the words and names.. I ended up assisting, me reading out loud on one paragraph, then having him do the next.. and by that time 15 minutes had gone by, for two pages. I said it was too ambitious and we’d put it away for a later date.
Maybe we’ll try it again soon.
Just an idea, my kids weren't keen on the HP books at first...they start too slowly. We watched the first movie, because it follows the book pretty closely, so you don't miss a whole lot, but it got them into it and then they wanted to read more. Now they love them. DS is still scared from the 4th movie on...he's read the first 3 books, but he's a bit scared of the 4th because it gets darker. But we watched the movies first so he knew what was going on, and then he read the books after.
