My RANDOM post for today:
Did you ever think that the Auto Shops that offer the Tire Sale: "Buy 3 Tires get the 4th One Free" must have a trick re. that?
.....like maybe they raise the price of one tire so when you pay for three and get one free....well they still manage to make some profit?
Well, I needed to buy all 4 tires and I shopped 4 places.......and........"Pep Boys" was featuring a "FALKEN TIRES" buy three get one free sale.
I saved a bunch of $$$$s!!!! There was no mark up. No tricks! :joyfull:
The other stores/shops I got quotes from were: Mr. Tire, Costco, and Mavis Discount Tires
None of them offered me Falken. Each were told by me that I was doing value/comparison shopping.
.........................just sharin' this in case anyone's tires are near the end of their tread life. :)

I actually like Charlotte’s airport! I haven’t been there in maybe 9 years though.. but I used to fly thru there a couple of times per year.. there was a bar - Cheers (not sure if it’s still there), the same bartender was at the bar for at least 4-5 of my visits.. he made the best Bloody Mary’s.lol.

Oh my!!!
Loves me a good airport bar Bloody Mary...!!!!! :hungry:
A good buddy of mine from HS moved back up north after our sophomore year, but he came back to Austin to attend The University of Texas for 4 years. Every time he traveled back up north and back, during college breaks, I would take him to the airport and pick him up. We would always make a visit to the airport bar and drink a coupla' Bloody Mary's each before and after every trip...his insistence on paying me back for schlepping him back and forth so many times...fine by me...!!!!! :hilarious: :)

Eek! That sounds miserable. I think they should probably just drive to the TTC then monorail to Poly... does this way sounds any faster? You guys drive fairly often on property, right?
If they have a breakfast reservation they can park at the Poly. Yes they can park at the TTC and then monorail it or walk to the Poly. I assume the kids will be in a stroller.

7:30am. The plan is to drop off luggage at bell services beforehand, room won’t be ready yet but the kids can at least see the lobby, they’ll meet the rest of their party at that time. Then head to breakfast... stay at MK until closing and then go to room.

I can’t remember the luggage policy, do they have to be in the room for it to be delivered? I know I had to be in 2015.. I just don’t know if that was for luggage from the ME or the carry-ons that I dropped off at Bell Services.
Last time I was at AKL (DVC rental) they graciously kept my luggage while my room was prepared and I went to the parks.
When I returned I just picked up my bags and went to my room.

It is gorgeous and quiet. We’ve never stayed there but always go over and eat at Sanaa for lunch. Hope they love it!
seconding this.

The hotel is very quiet, very spacious, only problem is walking. If you have DVC style rooms.. you will walk A LOT.

The bus stops are very nicely placed right outside, so no issue (with screens, etc..)

They also have very good restaurants.

Such different experiences...
We went to Pep Boys way back when. I know a bit about cars, and I know they were trying to screw us. Never trusted them again, and took the vehicle to another repair shop...never have gone back. They can go Pep themselves...I don't like being looked straight in my face and being lied to like a dog.
Glad you had a positive exoerience!
We have a Discount Tire here. They fix flats for free, replace any faulty product without a hassle (although none of us has ever had faulty product from them, and my 85-year-old pop likes them ;)), etc.
Buying new tires shouldn't be a pain, and they make it so easy...!!!

And, as always, big chains have such different management or staffing from location to location...one location spot on, another location not. And, combine bad management with bad staffing...it's a carp shoot... :cyclops:

I'm glad you have a good situation these days. Your prior negative experience was likely the fault of the employee who lied to you and not a reflection of the entire national chain.

The sale is really generated by FALKEN and should be available at all Pep Boy locations, regardless of the quality of the sales manager.

Thanks! I know they deliver them too, but just can’t remember if I had to be in the room! Oh well.. they’ll figure it out. I’m sure they’ll be carrying the kids to the room at that time of night.

Yes, I was just hoping to save them on time spent getting there. Nephew hates the stroller.. I don’t think he’ll be in it much unless napping. However, they’re staying til close, so he may actually utilize more than expected. Hopefully the monorail will be running at 7.

Sympathy like. Maybe it will get you out of changing diapers?

Nah, a bent pinky won't get ya' outta' that...!!!!! ;)
I don't mind changing diapers, actually...it's a dirty job, but, somebody's gotta' do it...!!!!!!! :hilarious:
And, I'm not exaggerating, I've probably changed more diapers than my Dwifey...!
I would go get baby for feeding, change babies diaper. After baby was done, I would change diaper again if baby needed, and put baby back to sleep. It was just a routine that I didn't mind. She brought them into the world, it was the least I could do. 3 kiddos. We agreed to this long before we were ever married...if we're gonna' have a family, we're gonna' raise it completely together.
I could post so many unerasable diaper, puke, etc. moments here, but, I won't...!!!!! :hilarious:
Bottom line, changing grandchilds diaper will be no problem for me...!!! ;)

T’s baseball game is on for 9am tomorrow. We have to be there for warm ups at 8:30.

Temperature forecast- 30 degrees.

Soccer is one thing in cold weather, but I don’t know about baseball.. I’m going to put several layers under his uniform! I’m going to also pick up some hand warmers for him to use while sitting out. I may make a large jug of hot chocolate for the team. This is going to be CRAZY.
