Weather rant coming on. Good Morning by the way!!!:) I checked the weather forecast for tomorrow. After scaring us with the potentiality of 3-6 inches or more for tomorrow, which made me make a hotel reservation, (which I decided to prepay to get the better rate and cannot cancel), now the amount predicted is less than 1 inch!!! Originally they had snow all day, but now it is supposed to snow during maybe one hour tomorrow here and there. Now I am not complaining that we will get next to nothing, because that is great, but these weather people really have to get it together here. For all I know we will wake up to a foot of snow for all their great and accurate forecasting. :banghead:

I hate that. Better safe than sorry with the hotel though. I'd rather stay an extra night with no snow than brave the elements in a blizzard

I think Charlotte is generally okay.... but if there's even an inkling of bad weather, AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

But, almost all the flights to Fayetville/ Fort Bragg connected through Charlotte, so I've been in that airport a ton. The connections are never long enough to make it through the horrible airport layout without you pulling a Home Alone and running through the airport. And there are very few things I dislike more than running through an airport.

Agree-- running through airports for connections is for the birds. A few years ago, I flew out of your favorite :pCharlotte airport to New York, for my connection to Boston. Took a long time for the plane to reach the gate in N.Y., and by the time I grabbed my carryon and got out of the plane, I had only about 5 minutes to get to my connecting gate--which was, of course--as far away as possible from the gate my plane arrived at!!

But here's the best part: So I am literally sprinting across this mammoth terminal at LaGuardia, and all the while, I'm hearing over the loud speaker, "Passenger (x), please proceed to Gate (x). Your plane is ready for departure." :banghead: Umm, can't they see in the computer that my connection just arrived LATE at the OPPOSITE end of the terminal?! Who did they think I was--Wonder Woman??!!

You may still end up being o.k. with local crops this summer. California has different growing seasons, due to their climate.
I just hope they don't ripen until June this year. Last year our strawberries were in full bloom when we were in Disney. My SIL took most of them and froze them. While that was great and all, I prefer fresh because I like to eat them straight after they are picked.:hungry:
