I didn’t have the luxury of an Ipad and printer in the 1970’s. :hilarious:

As he was telling me about it.. all I could do was think of the generation gap between him and me. iPad, instant home color printer (that doesn’t print in dots and lines ha ha), take a picture with your phone and put it on Facebook request.. it’s so crazy to think about.. most of those words/items didn’t exist when we were kids!

I haven’t! I’ll be sure to try it! T would probably like it as well.

Maybe that’s it. I was hoping he would have black hair anyway, so the blonde being gone really doesn’t bother me. It won’t be black, but it’s definitely a lot darker.

Speaking of birthdays and clothes.. Will you ladies give me your honest opinion about something that’s been bothering me?
Here’s T’s birthday request list this year-

Soccer rebounder.
New soccer net/goal. (Our other one is ripped)
Legos.
Ronaldo Real Madrid Jersey and shorts.
Ronaldo Portugal Jersey and shorts.
Ronaldo Portugal Warmups- shirt, jacket, and pants.
CR7 shoes.
World Cup tee shirt (non team specific).
World Cup soccer ball.

So anyway, I was talking to another mom last week at soccer practice (her son is one of T’s close friends).. was laughing about his list and expressed that he won’t be getting most of it.I’m limiting it to one jersey and one warm up... or at least as far as the actual Nike and Adidas ones (they’re about $65-$85 per item).
He’s growing so quickly that I can’t justify all of that... I don’t even think I could justify that expense for myself.

So.. she said that they don’t watch soccer at home.. her son doesn’t know about the players or World Cup.. and she was glad that he wasn’t requesting that stuff.

So then I get a text a few days ago, asking where someone would buy that stuff.. I told her.. and then she texts me back that she bought all of those items for her son. All of the clothing items on that list. Followed up with- “I bet he’ll be excited to show T when they’re together!”
What?

Is it weird that I’m bothered by it?
I don’t care what other kids have that T doesn’t.. but this specific scenario was so odd.
It’s not the first time that something similar has happened.. non clothing related, just other situations. I’m starting to second guess if maybe I should stop telling her things. I like her a lot, and I like her son.. but this is the most recent in a series of odd moments. I don’t know what it is or why it keeps happening.. but it’s starting to get on my nerves.

You can tell me if I’m the one being weird.lol. I need a total honest outside opinion.

As a non parental unit the situation is odd. It seems like she’s in a fantasy competition. One that her kid will lose in the long run when he realizes he can’t have everything.

I have a Liverpool jersey I bought from a coworker who worked at a sports store for $10. Still fits almost ten years later so that was a good investment. I want another teams jersey but I see the price and I just can’t. But they are uber expensive. Ebay like someone said is good. Amazon might be cheaper than a sports store especially for the Prima Donna (Ronaldo).

I’m in a completely different situation as you are but I hate being a contractor. I just want to work for a real company.
I really don't mind being a contractor, but my agency is pretty great. They offer full benefits, take you out to lunch, call to check up on you...like I said, pretty great. I do want to be an employee, but if that's not feasible, I'm perfectly content to stay with my agency.

I can not find an Adidas (Real Madrid) or Nike (Portugal) Ronaldo jersey for less than $86 “on sale” $95 is the regular price I think..For only the Jersey.. shorts are another $55 or so. Absolutely ridiculous. It hurts my soul to pay that for a stupid tee shirt and shorts! Especially when he won’t fit in them for more than a few months.

I’m going to get one “real” set.. and then I’m going to find the other on eBay or elsewhere. The Portugal collection was just realeased a couple of days ago.. so that may be tough.. but maybe I can find a knock off or something... or maybe he’ll just get a team jersey for Portugal without the “7” the team jerseys sans player are a lot less expensive.

Awesome deal on the Liverpool gear!!

Dinner will be enhanced dining 2 credits. If they are going to signature quality I don't mind having a nicer place to eat.

Jury is still out on this one. My thought is they can't do the signature at the volume they pump through BOG which is the current problem, the execution over the quality the chef's imagineered. Time will tell. They will have to cut down dramatically on the reservations to stage the courses correctly, very hard to do with a venue that large. In my own head I can't imagine Disney closing down rooms in BOG and spacing out ADR further apart to pay attention to details of a signature.

Has anyone heard who Disney is bring on board as the new Signature Chef for BOG? I haven't found it yet. Thanks.
