I don't know any cosplayers, but no I haven't asked. I saw a box of something that only lasts one day at Walmart last night though, so I might start with that and then go to the one @21stamps posted!!
The one night one might be a good idea so she knows what she will look like.

Then she can decide if she wants a more permanent look.

Nobody would want to have a more permanent look if you're disappointed in the color.

I don't know if it's even an option for us then. Maybe we'll stick with hair chalk. Getting a three year old to not touch anything and stay still for that long is........ a lofty goal

30 minutes. Her daughter is 10.. but I’ve seen preschoolers with it at church.. or at least last weekend I saw it.lol. The little girls didn’t have their whole head done, just some random highlights, it looked adorable!

Maybe go with the 24 hour one first if the ingredients sound ok.

I don’t think you would need to leave it in 30 minutes.. just do a test after 10 and see how it looks. A’s hair is light so it should grab the color quickly.. and it probably doesn’t matter if it last 2 weeks or 5 weeks.

Another bathroom question- Does anyone here have wainscoting walls in a bathroom? @donaldtoo what do you think? It’s weird because it’s not wood..I feel like it looks a little too shiny or something.. but I can’t do wood.
I have them in my master bath. Looks pretty. Again, I didn't design the house. There is a clawfoot tub in there with a separate shower. The kids love the tub, but splashing is an issue for the molding.

Exactly my thinking!! Random chunks of hair would give a good test to see how it would look once it fades too. Because with hair dyes, they always look so great when you do them, but four weeks later..... eesh.

That sounds gorgeous. I love claw foot tubs!! Is your wainscoting real wood?

I’m not touching the master bath or our half bath right now, I’m semi satisfied with those..and I can’t bring myself to get rid of such a large amount of marble in my bathroom.. even though I’m not a huge fan of so much marble...but at least it’s not as much as my old house.

TMI story- my husband and I used to fight about his middle of the night or early morning restroom use.. eventually I banned him to the upstairs guest bath as a result of his insubordination. 😂
The master was huge.. marble floors, marble walls, marble massive shower, marble tub exterior. It echoed soooo badly!!! It had sliding doors to enter the bathroom, which he never shut..ok, fine.. BUT he also NEVER closed the toilet door in the early am!!! Close one or the other!!! I used to get so aggravated by it.

So anyways... I like to have minimal echo in a bathroom.:hilarious:

That is a lot of marble. Must have looked pretty though. Echoing pee must sound great in the morning. ;)
The wainscotting I think is wood. Not sure. I painted it white. It was off-white before.

The room itself was absolutely gorgeous.. but omg, that sound. I’m getting anxiety even talking about it. The worst thing to hear when you first open your eyes in the morning.lol.

The contractors are telling me not to do real wood, this is the only reason why I may not do it. It just doesn’t look the same. The floor I’m fine with being wood tile.. but I don’t want a fake wood plastic-ish wall.

@21stamps we did a "hack" in our dining room that looks amazing. We put up a chair rail at the right height, then added trim to create wainscoting squares below that. Then we painted the whole area white. It looks really great. I'll try to find you a picture. But that way you wouldn't have to worry about ALL the wood, just a few pieces.

Wow, that’s a great idea!!

It’s not a very large bathroom.. I’ll have to measure and see if it would work.. the toilet is not separated..and the shower and bath are combined. I will have a little more wall exposed afterwards though, I’m getting a smaller vanity than what is currently there.
