I’m off to finalize the vanities&tops, bathtub, and shower tiles.. I think I may go with a greige marble top in T’sbath, and a beige marble in the guest bath, instead of stark white.. worried that the white might look too hotel-ish.
Still undecided on flooring in one of the baths.. holding off on that today. Hopefully they can give me samples of the counter tops and showers so I can stare for hours and make the floor decision.:hilarious:

I’m getting there..wish me luck that I don’t change my mind again ;)

I’ll add that I’m still undecided on sinks as well.. the guest bath is so tiny that I think oval may look better than rectangle. That my sound odd, but it’s a small rectangle bath with a corner shower.. thinking the oval may break up the lines.. Thoughts?

Yes I had read that as well. They loaded that company with debt. Very sad. I found it interesting that I was discussing this with dh and ds came in the room and started talking about how they aren't closing because of competition but because another company that bought them in the early thousands saddled them with debt. He is just 14 and I am looking at him in total surprise. I guess he does more than just play games and build Stitches with his computer. ;):p
Internet is truly a marvel for knowledge.. sadly its also filled with fakenews and moronic content.

Another bathroom question- Does anyone here have wainscoting walls in a bathroom? @donaldtoo what do you think? It’s weird because it’s not wood..I feel like it looks a little too shiny or something.. but I can’t do wood.

We don't have wainscoting in any of our bathrooms here at our home, but, yes it's done fairly often, depending on the style of the home, and/or if requested by a client.
Typically in styles such as modern farmhouse, craftsman, etc.
The majority of homes we design these days (as per client and builder requests) are contemporary/modern in style. They cover the bathroom walls with everything from reclaimed wood, to tile, to metal, etc.
What is the shiny material you are referring to?

And, just for grins, here a few shots of some of our more contemporary/modern home designs...

My daughter keeps asking for pink hair, but I haven't found one that will last a few days at least, won't come off on her clothes or bed, and is safe for kids as young as she is. I'm sure she'll be closer to five before we do something fun like pink hair, if she still wants to do it.
Have you tried to ask cosplayers from conventions?

There are many characters with bright pink colored hair..

Beautiful! My house is nothing like any of those.lol. When I moved here, I initially planned to buy a 3 bedroom loft in the city. I wanted 20ft ceilings..dropped lighting..exposed brick...corner unit with humongous windows. Then, my mother convinced me to have a yard.. So, I wanted to buy a 100+ year old home in a historic district near downtown, with a small yard.
BUT- after a painstaking search and a lot of painstaking thinking.. I finally decided to buy a 10 year old house in the outerburbs.. with a big yard, and none of my original “must haves”.. including- walking distance to Starbucks.ha ha. :( This is the first time in my life that I am not near the water, not in walking distance of anything, no where near “the action” by foot. It’s weird and I still haven’t completely grown accustomed to it.

Edit “life” as in adult life from 18+. I grew up in the suburbs. I didn’t want to raise my children in the suburbs though.
