My stress test experience went quite well today. I really like the facility that the cardiologist referred me to. The staff could not be any nicer. They explain every thing to you before they do anything, and they are very aware of patient comfort. I had no problems/symptoms out of the ordinary. I came home in less time than promised. I have a portable heart monitor that I will wear until I return it on Friday before 5 p.m. I don't think I have AFIB, but this should answer that question once, and for all.

My parents both have Disney Visas, and they retired the old designs we were using for my dad's, so they sent us new cards. Only instead of asking which new design we wanted, they just picked a design for all three of us. And that design is the Tinkerbelle design.

So my dad is now walking around with a credit card...with Tinkerbelle on it. :hilarious: And one of his children is having a field day with this situation...😂

On Monday morning we got up on time to get day tickets to a show I have been wanting to see a long time.

£20 is cheap for such good seats, but we couldn't sit together.

Tickets in hand we went to cross something else of my bucket list.
The Victoria & Albert museum had a special temporary exhibit on Winnie the Pooh. :D

It was interesting to read about the history of Winnie the Pooh and see the earlier sketches etc. but as a whole the exhibit was a bit disappointing, within 20 minutes you could see the whole thing and the main focus were small pencil drawings.
Next door to Winnie was the just opened Ocean Liner exhibit that we liked much better. So much fantastic history and gorgeous art surrounding cruise lines.
A wall panel from a first class lounge on a cruise ship in early thirties.

We had lunch at the museum and then walked home to rest before making our way back to the theater for a fun night with Aladdin.

The Prince Edward theatre is an old one so not the most comfortable chairs but the ambiance makes up for it.

We were up and out the door early again on Tuesday to watch the very first showing of the Black Panther. I was so happy my sister was still here so we could watch it together, after we went to have a pancake brunch as it was Pancake Day!:)
My sister did a bit of shopping and then it was sadly time for her to leave.

Looks like a fun time! And the food at your tea looked really good!

Funny! I would be teasing my dad about it too.:)

Watching about the Florida school shooting. Scary stuff.

I read about this one. I feel sorry for the people that lost their loved ones today. There is no reason why those people got injured or died today due to this senseless act.

There needs to be answers about the person arrested since that person made death threats last year.

That is all I am willing to say about the Florida shooting.

He needed psychiatric care away from society and there are no such facilties as far as I am aware anymore. He was flagged before. This was preventable. People knew. Prayers for the families.

On my first trip I found the sunglasses hut to be outrageously expensive.
100 USD markup compared to the airport. and 125 USD markup compared to Houston's prices.

I believe @figmentfan423 was referring to the prices at the Shades of Green resort at WDW.

But, on the shades (sunglasses)...
Marked up compared to what prices, where?
I'm not trying to be argumentative, I'm just curious.
The Ray-Ban Wayfarers I currently have were purchased at a 25% Father's Day discount for just over $112 US, including sales tax (8.25% on the dollar).
When we were on our December cruise, there was a shop in Cozumel that had "Ray-Ban" sunglasses for $20 US. Someone in our group pointed me to them. I knew they would be knockoffs before I even saw them. First thing ("Wayfarers", specifically), when I picked them up, they were too light in weight. Then I put my reading glasses on to take a closer look at the logo on the shades. Too thick lettering and inconsistent color when viewed close up. I was even able to rub a bit of it off... :cautious: Other details not right.
The lowest price I ever remember buying them at here was $35.99 back in the early 80's. The last pair I bought, before this current pair, was back in the mid-ish 80's for $39.99. :cyclops:

We stayed there overnight 2 years ago. My problem with it was that the rooms smelled mildewy and just looked like it needed a renovation. It was actually undergoing a renovation. So I checked it out for this upcoming trip, and the reviews stated the same complaints I had about it. Maybe they only renovated the grounds and pool but not the rooms? The room, which was a suite, was quite large, but I just couldn't see us staying in a room that smelled like mildew for more then 1 day.

I agree, the rooms could use a facelift. It is time. I can in fairness say the same thing also about many of the Disney Resorts. Hilton isn't a themed hotel, their pool is very nice but it does lack the fun things young kids enjoy, me I'm OK with what there is, reminds me more of the Disney Quiet pools. We went in and out of there for something other than a Disney trip not long ago. It was a $140 a night which is often hard to beat on Disney Property. It is that ying and yang 'cause it isn't on Disney Property but is kinda thing.
They have a 24 hour quick service so you can get snacks and beverages 24/7 which I liked and so many places you can comfortably sit and eat before you would leave for a park. Their bus moved its pick up since I had stayed their and has an overhang connected to the hotel so if it is raining you don't ever get wet at least until you're at the park.

I could really see us using this hotel for quick trips when we are there only 4 or 5 nights, I can deal with the meh decor, it was clean, I liked the second floor open seating area with couches and chairs, their lounge on first floor was nice and all the good food at Disney Springs right now. It could happen for a short visit. But I don't have young kids that I'd have to walk back from the bridge from Disney Springs when they are tired. Like I said, ying and yang but $140 is getting hard to look past. Honestly if I could get a similar rate I'd Swan and Dolphin it again. I love those 2 non Disney Resorts.

I love the Dolphin. Stayed there once when it was 4 of us. We were upgraded to a park view room. It was so awesome to watch the fireworks from our room while the kids slept. Wish they had rooms for 6.

Hilton was my favorite down there, too. Been quite a few years since I stayed there, but I also followed the same bus routine as you--and went to DTD (or the freaking Springs as they call it now) for all of my returns from the parks, as there was more service. Unless I'm mistaken, I think there is also a foot bridge over the main road to Hotel Blvd. now. Crossing that road (prior to that) used to freak me out a little--as in 4-5 lanes (both directions) of traffic at the lights.

Yes, it is one tall honk'n bridge. There is a glass elevator that takes you up to the top and two bridges technically as it makes the right angle turn like the road was formerly, it takes you directly to Hilton Property. They have pretty well landscaped you into using the bridge. It would take a lot of effort to attempt to cross street level and no traffic lights there anymore below. It is a very safe bridge, designed very well. I was impressed. I'm equally impressed with the new turnpike split near the MK. You yield right to go to Poly, Contemporary and WL or stay on original road to the MK parking/bus loop. It really helped the congestion to split off the resort traffic having to deal with MK traffic to get buses and guest, employees cars to their resorts. Sadly when we were there in December Uber and Lyft had yet to update software, that was messy.

We have that issue with our dogs. I guess I have yet to reach your level of annoyance yet because I just keep uprighting the basket instead of getting a sturdy one with a lid.;)

No problem with the trash cans/waste baskets here as we have the kind they can't get into, but, Ranger seems to, often enough, still find some kinda' delectable paper product somewhere...!!! :hilarious:
