I saw some of it last night, but fell asleep before it ended. Really enjoyed what I saw--what a great production they put on over there. The costumes were so attractive, too.

Saw quite a few of the athletes from many countries, but somehow missed the USA--might have dozed off just before that. Love the photos showing them in their team uniforms from Ralph Lauren--the gloves with the fringe were really fun! .

The Americans' gloves looked like my Dad's old work gloves (except Dad didn't have any fringe on his). They made me laugh a little.

I will post the final result when we get them delivered. I just hope Kapono likes the new stuff too. I purposely didn't pick any of the pillow backed styles of sofas because I was pretty sure she would wind up laying or sitting on top of them to look out the window and then it would get all smooshed in a weird way.

Thanks. The sofa in the picture is a pull-out sofa. We thought about getting a sleeper-sofa but in the end we didn't think we would need it because we have to guest rooms already so we decided not to put out the extra money for it. It will be nice to have new stuff that doesn't have rips in the cushions, those rips have happened recently, otherwise the stuff we currently have has lasted a nice long time. I hope this lasts as long.

I hope your new furniture will last at least as long as your old and I look forward to seeing it when it get delivered, things always look a bit different at home than in the shop.

Oh my Bali sounds so nice and exotic (not to mention warm). Please post photos.

Bit of a long story but while I was in Florida my mother's best friend died and my mother was the one that found her so my mum has been quite depressed, it doesn't help that the weather has just been cold and grey and my mother has arthritis so lots of aches and pains. I visited her after I came back from Florida and she looked so old and sad. I asked her what might make her feel better and she said that all she wants is to sit in the sun on a terras having a coffee. Problem is there is no warm weather anywhere in Europe not to mention my mother can't travel on her own regardless of where she wants to go.
So I looked at some options, crunched the numbers and decided to go to Bali with her for 6 weeks.

I am at Heathrow Airport at the moment waiting for my sister and some idiot left their bag unattended.

Several people have reported it so I am just waiting to see what happens now.

I hate when the sport journalists ask the competitors how they feel after they screw up. Specifically this time I am talking about skater Nathan Chen. He probably feels bad enough and then they ask stuff like what happened, how do you feel. I mean, really? How about how exciting for you to be at your first Olympics?

Number one rule of "journalism"...if it bleeds it leads.

That is awesome that it worked out to go with your mom, that will be fantastic.

I will need to remember to be patient as my mom is absolutely wonderful she is also starting to forget things and gets confused easily so I can't leave her alone much. We do have separate rooms at the guest houses we are staying at so that at least will give me a bit of a break.

Sound like my dh except he claims he can still do ST multiple times a day.

Last time we were there I was still able to do everything with no problems...last time being relative, though...last weeklong trip we took was in '13. No problems on M:S orange, as always, R'N'R, ToT, etc., etc.
But, on our cruise, none of the ship movement affected me at all, so, I guess I'm still good for all Disney rides/attractions.
Last WDW trip was in Feb. of '16, but, it was for the Princess 5K, so it was only for two Park days...MK and EPCOT...!
