We have 2 more days of snow, by dawn they say round #2 and then a chunk of Sunday round #3.

Said about 10 inches, my Tushie. I shoveled 5 inches last night before I went to sleep, 12 inches around noon today and another 3 inches mid afternoon. I don't really understand how they measure but at our curb the plow has a pile up to my shoulders, I can just barely see over it. When it melts someday there is going to be a floody floody.

Where do you live? Sympathy like, I would not do well in that kind of weather.

I have a basic sloper(pattern fit to me) for a bodice and I want to change the neckline and take the one for a sleeve but change that to 3/4 and add a bell to it.

Here is what our new sofa and love seat will look like. The brownish color in the second picture will be the base and the pattern will be what the throw pillows will be.

I love those sofas and colours! I am actually thinking about getting a new sofa myself and am looking at similar ones. I just need mine to be a sofa bed.

Guessing those are sewing things, which explains why I didn't know it. I am clueless when it comes to craft things.

Sorry. Yes sewing. I'm on a no pattern buy as well as a no ready to wear buy. I'm also going to not try and but any purses. That reminds me put metal zips on my shopping list

Is that Nemo? We've taken the kids there a few times....always interesting. My husband loves the Rube Goldberg machine.

No, it was the Science Museum in London. Nemo in Amsterdam is really great too, I like taking my nephew there. The nice thing about the London museums is that they are free.

My sister is coming to visit till Tuesday. Just going to clean my apartment this morning and get some of her favorite foods in before taking the tube to Heathrow to pick her up.

Olympic opening ceremony just ended. They did a fantastic job. What was even better was that there was zero commentary. I could enjoy it without any unnecessary babbling. It had a few touching elements. I would recommend watching it.

I saw some of it last night, but fell asleep before it ended. Really enjoyed what I saw--what a great production they put on over there. The costumes were so attractive, too.

Saw quite a few of the athletes from many countries, but somehow missed the USA--might have dozed off just before that. Love the photos showing them in their team uniforms from Ralph Lauren--the gloves with the fringe were really fun! .

Yes, but, even at my age, I can't remember the last time I saw an advertised "Drug Store" sign out in front of one...CVS, Walgreens, etc.

This is true, but on the other hand, when you grew up with your parents calling them drug stores, it sticks with you. In my mind, any time I need to go to CVS, etc., I always think drug store, before pharmacy!

In general, or do you have specific sports athletes that you follow from those countries? I also enjoy seeing athletes from all over the world, and cheer for the winners, regardless of where they come from (although I am a bit more partial to those from the U.S. )
