My primary care doctor left me a message last night on my answering machine, and somehow I neglected to check my messages before calling her again this morning. However, the good news is that I have an appointment with her on Monday. Lots of things for me to discuss with her. I feel A OK this morning. My operated eye has a blind spot, and just a little twinge after the eye drops go in. Only downside is getting that sticky tape to release off my skin this morning when I took off my eye patch.

My goodness, you're already setting plans for Christmas dinner?! I haven't even figured out yet where we're going for Thanksgiving dinner. Just been so busy at work that I'm drained. Although, I did call one restaurant but they had a ridiculous fee ($100) they'd charge you, if you didn't cancel 6 days ahead. Heck, anyone could get unexpectedly ill, etc., and I flat out refused to agree to those terms. Then I tried another restaurant, but they were already booked solid. At this rate, we may end up at McDonalds for turkey nuggets. . . :rolleyes:
There you go, being silly again! Just join us at @figmentfan423 'S house. As long as you bring wine, she won't mind.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it seems Dunkin Donuts Corporate has decided to streamline their menu. Including but not limited to varieties of donuts, breads, sandwiches and drinks. More info to follow. Please do not shoot the messenger
As long as I can get my occasional outside of the house coffee, and my ground coffee, I'm good. I haven't bought donuts from them, not a big breakfast sandwich person, so no problem.

Complicated business that shouldn't be complicated. Good luck and hope everything will work out in ds's favor.

I think that you are supposed to have some sort of electronic lock on your door that works with Alexa or something. The delivery person gets notified that they can enter and the lock opens for them. I still think it is a bad idea. I would never agree to something like that. Way too intrusive for my taste and things are intrusive enough. I hate when I get a notification from gmail telling me I have an appointment. It is all just overly creepy with what these information systems know. That is part of the reason I won't do Facebook. Won't buy an Alexa or any of those things either. I can turn on my own lights and tv thank you very much.
I have never heard of an Alexa....is it a service? Or is it a device?

Yes, it is a device sold by Amazon. One of those things that you hook up in your house and you can ask it stuff like "What time will the sun go down?" It can hear what goes on in your house. It is only supposed to be on when you say it's name, but I just find it creepy. It is supposed to make your life a little easier, but breeding even more laziness and opening us up to more intrusion by I don't know what is just too much for me.
Silly joke alert for @donaldtoo & anyone else out there who's crazy --

Why didn't the lifeguard save the hippie?

Because he was too far out, man! :happy:
:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
I should have written all these down, darn.:(
