My brand new iPhone 8 has frozen up on me three times in the last 6 days. I called TMobile, and they suggested that I take it to a nearby Apple Store and have it looked at. I made an appointment for noon on Wednesday. Busy week for me. Eye Doctor Appointment tomorrow. My pre-op exam at Advocate on Tuesday, and now this on Wednesday. Better make sure to put some money on my bus card for all these bus trips.

So we had a nice morning and early afternoon. Enjoyed the lovely 80 degree weather while we chose some pumpkins.:) We were at a garden center and found a really cool plant. Ornamental pepper. DS said it looks like Christmas lights. :inlove:We bought on of them. Not this one. It is a picture I found on google. Love how they trimmed it.

Then we went to Chili’s. They changed their menu. I was torn between the black bean burger that I think is the best tasting one I ever had and veggie fajitas. In the end I tried the new veggie and bean fajitas. There were loads of yummy veggies on the plate and on top was a black bean burger!! :jawdrop:They couldn’t have done it better! It was super scrumptious.:inlove::hungry: The amazing part was the price. Under $15 for all that food. Here is a pic of my plate not including the tortillas and condiments for it that included salsa, guacamole, sour cream and cheese. Took half of it home.

There were loads of peppers and onions under the huge allotment of asparagus. Amazing meal!:) And a great waitress. ;)
That plant DOES look like Christmas lights...I thought at first that it was a very strange Christmas decoration...didn't know it was a real plant.

Oh yes, indeed, very aware of all of that. :) DS also had "normal" friends that kinda' watched over him, and all that, but, the teachers were all over it too.
I was just curious as to why she thinks the bullying is so prevalent where she is at. I'll totally admit I am completely ignorant of life in the Netherlands, and that is why I asked her for her thoughts.
Well, I don't know if it's all over in the Netherlands or just here at our school. I mean, obviously every school has a bully or two...but our school does seem to have WAY more than its fair share of them, but I'm betting that it's more to do with the lack of consequences. I don't think it would be as bad if incidents had been handled way back when they started. But I don't know if other schools have as big of a problem as we do...none of my friends have mentioned their kids being bullied, so I rather think not. But you know how it goes...kids who get bullied seem to almost have a target on their backs...the bullies are good at picking out the vulnerable kid. So changing schools often doesn't help, which is why we didn't try it before. But now we kind of have to, and I think it will be different at a special school. If we had to go to another regular school, I'd be a lot more worried.

Hi Guys. It's been quite a day. Hubby got up early with pains in his back...around 4 A.M. well, by 5 A.M. he couldn't go to the bathroom. Either a kidney stone or his prostate, acting up. Off we go at 6 A.M. to the emergency care place....next to our house.....we waited over three hours to see a doctor....It's unclear what is happening....hubby got a catheter put in, along with a bag. He is to go to the doctor on Monday, to find out why, the Doctor called his urologist and he ordered the catheter and bag. So....if he gets worse off to the hospital. Only to say....we are super tired.......it was a full day.......maybe tomorrow will be better. Gosh, I want to get off this merry go round. I haven't finished my packing...... I'm wondering if this trip is going to happen. I felt funny when we said yes,,,,,so many month's ago. At least I insisted that we bought insurance......
Sympathy like. So sorry...sounds like it was a rough day! So are we praying you can go on your trip, or praying that it's canceled?

No apology necessary, as I asked for your opinion and appreciate that you took the time to be so thorough.
That cleared up a lot for me about your DS's situation.
I truly hope all the things that y'all want to happen for him do indeed happen. As, also, in the case of our DS, nobody should have to go through that much pain from others because they are "different".
Prayers...
Thank you! I appreciate that so much. We can use all the prayers we can get. You're right, no one should have to go through this. I hope we woke the school up sufficiently that no one else does!

Sympathy like.

I can't remember the last time I slept anything other than sitting up. I used to roll from side to side during the night, but, I find these days, I'm comfortable enough sitting up against the headboard.
I recently read that was the way most people slept way back in the day, but, that was way after I started sleeping that way... :cyclops:
Fun fact...the reason people slept sitting up is they were less likely to snore. People believed that your soul would escape from your mouth if it opened while you were sleeping. They slept sitting up to keep their mouth from opening and allowing the soul to escape their body.

Doesn't that drive you CRAZY when you find a company and a style you love--and they do something LAME like discontinue a color??!!!!!!!!! :banghead:
My problem seems to be that I find a pair I LOVE, then get it in another color and the other color doesn't fit the same. Exact same jeans, just a different color...but I find the darker the dye, the less stretch they have.

@ajrwdwgirl , my husband would like to know if DLP hotels will let you store your bags and explore the park until your room is ready, and after you check out? I figured you might know.

So....DD and I are still a Minnie Mouse ears factory and we scored some more headbands today. We thought we'd make some extra to give to little girls in the park if they like ours...would that be weird?

Yes they will let you store your bags. We stored ours. I think sharing Minnie ears would be a neat idea, you might want to make sure their parents are around when you offer and it is okay with them that the girls accept. If you enjoy making them go ahead and make extras, it will probably make someones day!
