Of course there's the risk of what happened when New Coke came out. While the Company believed it was objectively better, the public wanted their good ol' coke classic back. The castle is in bad shape, and it should be approaching the end of its life cycle soon. Will they make repairs as they come up, or take the opportunity to rebuild from scratch? If they rebuild from scratch and it is a rebuild of the original, we will have the same castle for over 100 years, if not forever. If they reinvent it with each "rebuild" then centennial improvements could be expected. Will come down to setting a precedence if or when that day comes.
