Maybe that's why the skunks and turkeys hang out at their houses:D:oops::angelic: All kidding aside they hang out closer to the woods so I didn't do anything mean and we seem to have less and less of a problem every year doing it this way:joyfull:
the suckers deserve to be squished I'm not taking any chances:D
We put out that grub stuff twice a year. It really cuts down on how many come out in the summer. They used to destroy our own lantern but only had a few past couple years.

I was wondering how long that would contain her! So funny!

When my old dog Henry was a puppy, up until 2 years old he would climb over a single baby gate, and he wasn't a big dog (about a foot high), so we had to stack two gate up in the doorway to the kitchen. That is where we would keep him while we were at work until he grew out of his chewing phase and the kitchen doesn't have a door.

That is so interesting. I have never had a small dog, the first was A Springer, the smallest but she passed at only a few months old. Then a Shepard, two Golden's and then Walt the lab.

I've had the same baby gate for 30+ years and they never went over it though I have to say the two golden's pushed through the gate when my Mom would come over-so excited-canine bulldozers. With ease they could have gone over just didn't. :angelic:

My Shepard was an escape artist. She should have lived on a farm and trained to roam freely. She'd leap over the 4 foot chain link fence and would tour the town. She also learned how in later years to just open the gate which had a U type hinge closure that simply pushed up to unlatch. So I put a long bolt in the hole meant for a padlock. She learned to ram the gate until it fell out. The I put a Croquet wire goal in the hole, finally stumped her but she kept trying.

Before View attachment 218218 Finally finished the fireplace mantel!! After View attachment 218219
That looks real nice. I have to say though that I am not a supporter of covering natural wood with paint unless it is damaged. I would have maybe tried a different color on the wall to better highlight the mantel. Or wallpaper. Still, like I said, it is an improvement over what was there as far as the look is concerned.

Make it 4!
I'm glad there are several. I am not one, and I feel kind of bad about that...like, I'm somehow letting down the feminist movement by being cliche. Though I DO love learning, and I love things like The Big Bang Theory, so I'm not a TOTAL let down in the Girl power department. Star Wars just doesn't appeal to me...nor did I watch Wonder Woman. Or the new Ghost Busters. Man....they are going to take away my feminist card, aren't they!!

We had 64 this morning and it was very nice on the porch with the morning coffee. And our high was about 75 today, very pleasant. Tomorrow and the next few days it is supposed to edge to 88-90. I think 60-to mid 70's is the perfect temperature range. I told hubs the other day that we should move somewhere that has those temperatures all the time. He just said, "Hmmmm."

I lived in a place like that for 8 years...San Jose, CA.
But, the cost of living there these days is through the roof...!!!!!  ;)

Sympathy like. I hate to ask but is your brother being helpful. xoxo
Well, yes and no....he won't deal with anything today because it's his husband's birthday. But hopefully we'll get some answers tomorrow. He actually has a buyer lined up for the cattle, and we can apparently TRUST this buyer, so that's helpful...IF we ever get to sell the dang things!

Mr Ferret 75

Thank you sir. You were an inspiration.

Could you not just get them shipped to @figmentfan423 's house. Should last her carnivores a week or two.
