Was Fire Mountain A Real Concept?

Remember the volcano that threatened to destroy the city in the third act? That's what the show experience of Fire Mountain was going to revolve around.

I think for the Magic Kingdom's 50th anniversary this ride should be built. Dust off the blueprints!
Adventureland could use this ride big time.

I do think that using the Adventureland expansion pad for a higher thrill E-ticket would make a lot of sense for the 50th. That would be a good balance to the rest of the park and AL would benefit from an addition more than anywhere.

I'd prefer a new concept like Fire Mountain, but honestly I'd be fine even just to see an Indiana Jones ride or Journey to the Center of the Earth.
