its not bad, but seems like the blue would be a HAZARD from a safety perspective

since the blue on the balloon will really blend into the sky

and also making it blend in doesnt really help from a marketing perspective as the old balloons you could see them from far away

who designs this stuff? they do the dumbest things

There are two distinct shades of blue; plus white, and orange. I have zero doubt that this will be easily seen from a distance, yet blends so much more nicely with the shades of the springs.

Dumb? Clearly you think so. I like it much better.

I really like the color scheme, but I have one question. Isn't it supposed to be Characters in Flight? Or is a rename potentially coming?

I like the new colors, but it doesnt pop out as "Disney" to me, But hey, neither does a lot of the Disney springs additions either so it's the direction their going for.

though there wasnt much disney in downtown disney either, there's just even less now

Aside from Disney quest and most of the marketplace there really wasn't any "Disney" at Downtown Disney. And those things are still there.

The area music and the Disney Store are the only Disney related elements.

Photo update as of Saturday, Jan 14. Nice photos posted here of the new color scheme for the balloon, but didn't see any of the new balloon in flight. The red gondola is now yellow.

I like it, and think the design was intentional. The old colors didn't fit the theme of the Springs and stood out like a sore thumb. Yes, the red and yellow was possibly good for marketing to folks driving off property, but their biggest sales come from the thousands of people that walk right underneath it already every day, and they won't likely miss it regardless of color.

It's really pretty and i enjoy it. But i really wish characters in flight had......well, CHARACTERS LOL
