Woody, Jessie and Rafiki cut from Magic Kingdom

I'm hearing that Woody, Jessie and Rafiki have all been cut from the Magic Kingdom. This would mean Jessie would not be meet-able anywhere at WDW. I believe October 1st is the last day to meet Woody and Jessie.

Although for Woody and Jesse I believe you probably are referring to the Toy Story land and Midway Mania as your reasoning for DHS, I would think that they still fit in Frontierland, whether or not they are at the studios.
no...actually they fit Toy Story Land perfectly...especially since I think the plan has a purpose built meet and greet for them (unless that was value engineered out of the already lame concept)...

Was the TSL construction magically completed overnight? Otherwise there is no need to have them stop meeting now, not to mention Woody already appears in DHS with Buzz.

Only thing I can think of would be entertainment getting ready to offset the Muppet in Liberty Square cast.

My point is that they could fit perfectly in both, and it would not hurt either for them to be in both. And I would love to have The Prospector in Frontierland, next to Country Bear Jamboree. (Of course it would be even better to have Big Al or Henry there, but that is a different conversation.) Or over near Thunder Mountain.

Many, many kids never make it to another park other than MK, where their parents or grandparents take them to "Disney World" (a.k.a. the MK), especially as expensive as a WDW vacation is; so I have no problem having characters appear at the MK that also appear in other parks, especially if it fits the theme at MK. It is not their fault that the family only goes to MK -- which we all know is something that a lot of first-time visitors do.

But by that logic they should put every character and every ride in the Magic Kingdom because kids deserve to see everything and it's not their fault their parents or grandparents may not take them to more than one park...
When I was a kid, there were very few characters...and the ones they had, just walked through the park from time to time... and that was great and magical...there were no lines or appointments to meet them...it was just a happening...we were there to see the park, and if we met a character it was a special experience...but not necessary to our happiness.

I agree with that last paragraph. I just also agree in this case that these particular characters fit in Frontierland. I did not say that anybody "deserved" or was entitled to all characters at MK. I just said that I had no problem with characters who happen to fit thematically in MK as well as other parks to be in both, and I was making the point that in that case it benefited people who only visited the MK. Now, if characters do not fit into one of the MK themes, they don't belong there, period. Overall, though, I don't think that you have do confine characters to one park, as long as they fit thematically wherever they are.

Isn't Woody already at DHS? and Rafiki already at Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK?

Woody, Jesse, and Rafiki are also part of the Move it Shake it parade last time I checked, are they maybe just being cut from that to make way for new characters there? Zootopia's Judy and Nick showed up in that parade after the movie came out (and bumped some one else from the parade) and Moana is about to hit theaters, the Moana merch is already in stores, maybe those characters are coming to MK in place of Woody Jesse and Rafiki
