Woody, Jessie and Rafiki cut from Magic Kingdom

Well the Mupoets are coming. Remember, the budget doesn't get bigger, just reallocated. So a gain of the Muppets will mean the removal of others.
Do we have any more information about this show, yet? I know it starts in a little over 2 weeks yet I see no visible signs of a stage anywhere. I am struggling to imagine where this will take place in cramped Liberty Square and it's a bit late in the game to rip out the Liberty Tree (the actual tree) and build a stage there.

Wasn't this rumored to happen from a balcony/window above Heritage House?

But by that logic they should put every character and every ride in the Magic Kingdom because kids deserve to see everything and it's not their fault their parents or grandparents may not take them to more than one park...
When I was a kid, there were very few characters...and the ones they had, just walked through the park from time to time... and that was great and magical...there were no lines or appointments to meet them...it was just a happening...we were there to see the park, and if we met a character it was a special experience...but not necessary to our happiness.
Tokyo still does that though.

I agree with that last paragraph. I just also agree in this case that these particular characters fit in Frontierland. I did not say that anybody "deserved" or was entitled to all characters at MK. I just said that I had no problem with characters who happen to fit thematically in MK as well as other parks to be in both, and I was making the point that in that case it benefited people who only visited the MK. Now, if characters do not fit into one of the MK themes, they don't belong there, period. Overall, though, I don't think that you have do confine characters to one park, as long as they fit thematically wherever they are.
That's true.

I think it's funny that Woody and Jesse fit in Frontierland because they wear cowboy outfits. Very little of the Toy Story story line has to do with "the west". Heck, at least Buzz Lightyear had a tv series based on a back story. Makes sense to put Buzz and SRS in Tomorrowland (if you are ok with the toonification of the lands).
The universe that Woody and Jessie came from was set in the West.

Isn't Woody already at DHS? and Rafiki already at Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK?

Woody, Jesse, and Rafiki are also part of the Move it Shake it parade last time I checked, are they maybe just being cut from that to make way for new characters there? Zootopia's Judy and Nick showed up in that parade after the movie came out (and bumped some one else from the parade) and Moana is about to hit theaters, the Moana merch is already in stores, maybe those characters are coming to MK in place of Woody Jesse and Rafiki
And speaking of Zootopia, what is taking Disney so long for the two to be meetable at WDW? They are already meetable at Hong Kong Disneyland and Disneyland in DCA for months now.

Agree on Rafiki, but I can't think of a better place to meet Woody and Jessie than Frontierland.

I can TSL shame the M+G built venue was cut from the last set of plans. Woody and Jessie have as much to do with the Wild West as Lighting McQueen and Mater do. The correct characters to meet would of been streetmosphere along with Pecos Bill and The Lone Ranger for example.
