Nope, none of that. That was July, so not sure what happened. Didn't bother asking as we had already decided this was our last meal here.

You mentioned tons of Disney Junior stuff to do at DHS. Other than the show and M&G's, am I missing something?

The show, the meet and greets, and H&V. That's more than any other park. My kid was a HUGE Jake fan.. I don't know of anywhere else in WDW where you can see him. I could be wrong though.

While Jake is only seen there, I believe that two of the pirates in the Peter Pan section of the Festival of Fantasy Parade are dressed like Sharky and Bones.

We did 3 MK days and missed that parade each day .

And yet, every showing of Indy I've been to recently has pulled in a decent sized crowd, with the theater at least half full. Everyone's already seen It's a Wonderful Life before, yet they still keep showing it every year on TV at Christmas.

OK are we now seriously defending the fact that they have let this park devolve into the lowest ride count of any Disney Park worldwide by saying there are other things to do? Seriously...and half the non ride attractions have been shut down too... Some people can fill a day at a city park sitting on a bench, but when I am paying $100/day for a theme park experience, I would like to go on some rides too.
But I am sure TDO loves to hear people defend their half-shuttered park for full price strategy...

FWIW, all the Rock n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith merchandise is heavily marked down starting today... speculation is probably correct.

Actually, this is a part of an initiative to add in safety videos before all rides. These can be already found at TSMM, and Test Track.

So that one at Test Track is actually new then? Like new since the ride re-opened in 2012? I thought it seemed like something different when I went on the ride recently.

It didn't feel empty. Walkways felt congested, but then the attractions were mostly under 30 minutes.

Could be that the park gets busier in the afternoon with parkhoppers coming over for nighttime shows.

Now DAK at night, *that* feels like an empty park.

Talked to a CM friend working at DAK and she mentioned that just last week they started closing up the park early at 9PM (11 close), but as of 9, Managers were radioing in that there were only 81 people left in the entire park.

If that's not sad, I don't know what is.

That's actually insane. I'm interested to see how this pans out when ROL and Pandora opens. They'll help no doubt, but will they help enough to justify the night hours? Personally, I hope Disney are starting to have some serious reconsiderations about their investment strategy.

I've skipped AK during my last two visits to WDW. Didn't miss it. And for those prices, that's very sad.

Relating this back to Rock n Rollercoaster, everything about the place seems so misguided at the moment. I happened to stumble across some old park maps from 1999/2000 the other day and there's so many NEW attractions and entertainment across all four parks it's such a contrast to the 'that'll do' approach they take now.

Leave Rock n Rollercoaster alone and stop fobbing the well paying public off with a cheap redo and marketing it as NEW. The notion that 5 rides in a theme park is enough is mental, no matter if many people have park hoppers and can nip over to AKs 6 or 7 rides.

Take a quick look at guide maps of DHS around 1997-2000 at http://www.florida-project.com . Nearly 20 years later and the park is in no better, and arguably worse shape. Disney need to take a serious look at things here because the general public notice these things too.

Shows are what should be changed with urgency at DHS, not the attractions that are actually ok. Indiana Jones, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast anchoring the parks entertainment offerings TWENTY years ago. We all have mugs on our heads continuously paying to get in the place.

Was advised today by Disney that RNRC would be down for a "scheduled safety refurb" on October 27th. We booked our Fastpasses for it just a few days ago, yet now they're trying to say it was a "scheduled" refurb. Was very aggravated so I didn't ask more questions at the time. Was this common knowledge and I just missed it?

It's getting to the point at HS that when one of the remaining e-ticket rides needs a refurbishment (which I totally respect for safety), they should offer discounted tickets during that time. It's become the park I hop to at night for the remaining 4 rides and Fantasmic, after doing a morning at AK.

This will be the first December I go and Osbourne Lights aren't there to enjoy. I'm hoping the Star Wars fireworks will be back at least by then. I'm legit not regretting building Universal into this trip though.

I'm actually doing more extreme "park hopping" on our AK and HS days (since there is now no JB or SW show those days). I'll be going to those parks in the mornings, then going to Universal for a late City Walk lunch and then attractions and dinner in their parks, using an AP. That means WDW will miss out on my $$$ for two meals and potentially more spending each of those days, because there isn't enough to keep me there all day. And it's important to note that i'm not a local and haven't been to WDW since 2014.

Sigh.... its always up everytime i visit and im headed down there Oct 29th-Nov 6th, guess ill be missing this ride for a while at least.. at least tower of terror will be up and running.

In my opinion right now besides MK, AK is the best park at WDW. I can't imagine skipping it but that's just me.

On a really hot day, AK is very nice - lots of shade. But I don't go to WDW to visit a zoo. I want to see Disney magic, and I don't get that out of AK. But that's just me.
