After seeing this info for DCA, which to me looks like an utterly ugly mess, Im very concerned about a form of this in Epcot. I realize its going to be a different concept in terms of the actual ride, but I bet the story line isn't too different.

About as bad as I thought it would be. They could have improved the tower experince and people would have loved it, but nope lets just be cheap and overlay the ride. Its just so messed up

You think at a talk centering around Marvel, they're going to get booed for news of a Guardians of the Galaxy overlay to a 10(ish) year old ride at Cali adventure?

The cheering will be deafening.

Seems my wish came true, considering multiple people are reporting that the announcement was booed.

Closes in January, it shouldn't take that long to retheme. It's reskinning parts of the facade, adding lighting effects. Interior is more of a gut, but once the rooms are clear, it's mostly just art department, adding a/v and programming.

Like seriously, DCA's tower is just the drop. How did WDW do it better - THAT blows my mind. After I rode it and realized we exited where we loaded, it was anticlimactic.

It's like building a Soarin' that actually took you somewhere, but just lands in the same spot.
