I agree, noone of the newest attractions are as detailed and as rich as Haunted Mansion or Splash Mountain.Right there with ya. It is a beautiful soundtrack.
The late 80's and thru the 90's were an amazing time to spend at WDW. Major, timely construction happenings. Every year major new things to experience from a Boardwalk to Splash Mountain, to an entire Sunset Blvd. My kids enjoyed a WDW as small children that will likely never be repeated. Blessed.
Then came the new millennium. Neglect and long drawn out expansions, painfully long. Hello FLE and Avatar. For those who look forward to Avatar I certainly hope it brings more to AK than FLE brought to the MK given the long long time it took to go online. Frankly I'm more impressed with the Tangled Potties than FLE or Storybook. Not bad by any means just given the $$$ and the long long wait, just didn't deliver what was hyped. While not as bad as I anticipated Magic Bands given the cost do not impress me as much as Splash Mountain or Everest did as additions to WDW. Perfectly fine, just not more.
I miss Spectro! And yes, it will be a hard act to follow.
I just hope its not another copy.If WDW ever gets a new electrical parade for the 50th in a few years. While also curious I'm also very worried seeing what the next WDW exclusive parade will be. Spectromagic is one of those parades along with Dreamlights in terms of nighttime parades which I consider a "Tough Act To Follow" because of how much effort was put in the floats and the soundtrack.
Love Spectro or not, I really miss the Spectromen at the start of the parade due to how entreating and fun they would have. They are also very misunderstood since the majority of visitors find them creepy and bizarre Disney characters. I used to get creeped out by them until I learned about there backstory to the parade according to one Disney website I stumbled upon last year. While I do enjoy PTN, I hope WDW won't get a parade like PTN filled with pop music. Heck Spectromagic and Wishes always felt perfect together since Jiminy hosted both of them but now that Spectro is gone. Wishes doesn't have much of an impact as it did when Spectromagic was still in WDW. I'm no complaining, but I hope WDW get's something extra special for the 50th.
I remember seeing Spectromagic during my first and second trip to WDW in 2004 and 2006. Hearing the Spectromen playing on the trumpets and electronic sound effects from the whirly balls and there voices complete with Mickey touching the plasma ball all heard miles away from your location always gave me chills and made me excited to see the parade up close. Especially if you location is near Main Street, Cinderella Castle or Liberty Square where it can be heard echoing down the street such as this video from 1998.I loved that parade. We never missed it when it was around, sometimes we would watch it twice.
no, you have to change manually.. at least in WDW.If you have a fastpass and it closes, don't they give you a new fast pass for later?
Eset NOD32 has been very good for me. very light and updates almost like every 6 hours.. so they do find viruses fast. And your recommendation?
not to mention that you can add addons and they still wont slowdown Chrome like Internet Explorer did.I switched to Chrome, and it works a lot better, and faster, too.
And it used to be even worse *shudders as he remembers 2013, and presidents day on 2014*That site is wonky to say the least. That's why my dh and I will both be on a computer for certain ADRs
middle of the night? reminds me when I was at university studying.. and I had to wake up at 5 every day to get ready and get the normal bus towards the university area...I have to wake up at 7:30 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. That's like the middle of the night.
only one problem.. bananas turn bad and dark very fast with cold temps.I tend to hit a store if I know a big snow storm is coming or even one that could knock the power out. I try though not to do it at the
11th hour though. For big snow storms there is something about putting up a large vat of chicken soup, hand made dumplings and noodles.
So I'm usually heading out for the fixin's for the soup.
I never thought of bananas. Guess it is something that would stick with you if you lost power.
From a bear? from Koda? or from Kenai?Having breakfast at Storytellers Cafe now and just got a pat on the head and a smooch from the bear!![]()

I gave my doggies lots of kisses. Maybe that's why I've lasted so long. I'm strong as an ox.We took our doggie to a very nice kennel, it had a therapy pool for dogs, and a big aquarium for the cats. It was a nice place with a big back area to run, but it wasn't "home".
Me either, but a couple bananas with chocolate chips would do me well!I tend to hit a store if I know a big snow storm is coming or even one that could knock the power out. I try though not to do it at the
