Yep, I've been lucky enough to be able to enjoy those things on a regular basis up to this point in my life so, if it turns out I do have to cut way back on them, I'm not gonna' lose any sleep over it.
Plus, it'll feel more like a treat when I do have them...!

We cut down too. Have it just once a month at a local restaurant. No temptation that way. And having breakfast out is my favorite meal out for me.

I plan too. We are going to spend some time in Disney Springs. As we are staying with points at the Hilton. And points for the airplane! Except for food we are only paying for bags and taxes. Almost free.

Yea, we have been getting ice all day long, but, it hasn't been the worst I have seen. It does create a major problem around here, but, in a news conference this morning, the Governor assured us that we have the finest highway response crews, not just in North Carolina, but, in the whole of the U.S. Kind of made me chuckle a little. Don't get me wrong, when based on the equipment, training and leadership they have, they really do try and do the best they can. Unfortunately, not a single person in that organization has a clue on how to handle it or have planned ahead for a possible problem. They rely on the brine solution that they spread on the road one or two days ahead of the storm to get us through. The were very proud of the fact that they spread 2 million gallons of the stuff over the last two days. By the time the storm gets here, it has basically dried up and blown off the highway. Then, of course, there is the other problem of drivers who for some reason equate ice on the road as a reason to drive faster. We should be fine in another day, but, I sure wouldn't want to be living in the D.C. or Baltimore area. Thanks for you concern.

March For Life. I totally respect the right to a peaceful protest but many are refusing to head home. Don't they realize staying put as the weather rolls in will put the Police/Fire/EMS in danger if they have to rescue some of them? That amazes me.

I'm a lover of all things Tomato minus sun dried tomatoes and tomato juice. Still there is something about a well made Bloody Mary that immediately makes you forget it has tomato juice in it. At Disney, a consenting adult, a person of your age, not a real issue. When my son was in college in Wisconsin initially at 18 he could order a drink with us at a bar or restaurant.

Me, I was never a fan of the age being raised up to 21. Illinois was 19 for beer and wine and Wisconsin was 18 till the Feds stepped in. When we vacationed in Mexico I never had any issues at 14 in a resort ordering a Margarita. It actually made the family vacation at that age more tolerable lol. The only time I had an issue in Mexico, my Mom, her friend, her two 16 year old twin DDs and me 16, going into a night club with our Moms. They said no. They had great music and it was a fun spot at night right next to our hotel. So we left, our Moms went in. 20 minutes later the 3 16 years olds went in together. No issue.

We were always served wine as small kids at Sunday dinner at my Grans. The kids got these tiny little cordial glasses. My belief is because it wasn't forbidden, that 21 right of passage, it generally lacked the curiosity and appeal that it does today to many college students. I remember my son being so curious about beer when I was stocking the bar for his birthday party when he was around 10. I opened one let him taste it, wasn't amused he spit it out so quickly all over me. Curiosity Cured for a long long time. He was such a finicky eater my gut told me he would hate it. Just didn't think I'd be wearing it.

I love everything tomato too, including juice and sun dried, and, of course, Bloody Marys.

Back in the early 80's, the drinkin' age was 18 for everything here in Texas. About a month and a half before I turned 19 they raised the drinkin' age to 19...no grandfathering...I was underage, again.
Thankfully, when they raised it to 21 a few years later, so the state didn't lose federal highway funding, I was already 21.

Hahaaa! about wearing the beer...!
I remember liking it from the very first sip my pop gave me as a kiddo.
I still liked soda pop better, but, boy howdy, I sure loved those occasional sips.
When we moved to No Cal, I got the occasional sip of wine, too.
When I was about 15, I was allowed to have the occasional beer, or glass of wine, at home.
Obviously, I preferred the beer.

I'm glad to hear that you are going to be okay? We have a wonderful road crew, but we have had many deaths of people trying to go to our airport. I love Disney, but I won't risk my life getting there. And when it's that bad the planes don't fly anyway. I'm not sure what people are thinking. Please stay safe. We joke about the weather, but sometimes, the joke is on us.
